Super awesome picture!! I LOVE it! I can almost hear them "You talkin' to me?" "Yeah, what of it?!" :lmao: :rotfl: :rotfl2:

November 18th

Our last full day at the parks :(. We woke up kind of sad but...we still had all of today, tonight and tomorrow before we went home so we were going to live it up!

We got ready quickly, ate a quick breakfast at Mara and hung around the lobby waiting for our stomachs to digest.

PB171226.jpg

Finally we made our way over to the AK! We still had lots of exploring to do!

PB171227.jpg

Take a quick second to look at the sign above. What's with the dragon? I know that the imagineers originally intended to have a land in AK dedicated to mysterious creatures so I have to wonder why they never changed the sign...maybe they're up to something :wizard:

Anywhoo, we made our way through the turnstiles and on our way we were!

Neither of us had ever seen the Flights of Wonder show and we were around the theatre right around the start of the show so we decided to see it. It was a cute show but I didn't think it was a must see by any means. They do the bird/dollar trick and have a couple big birds fly over the crowd, but really that was about all. Nothing to write home about.

PB181246.jpg

We had the oppurtunity to see Nemo again but it's such a long show that we decided to pass up the oppurtunity.

We walked around perusing the various shops and trails and just had an overall relaxing day. Before we knew it we were already ready for lunch.

I hornswoggled Jeremy into eating healthy by taking him into the Tusker House. At his dismay he found only healthy entrees, at which point his response was "with a name like Tusker House you would think they'd be selling elephant meat!" :rotfl: Well, he still managed to get the most unhealthy thing on the menu. Men have a gift for this!

Tusker House was an overall let down. God awful salads. Stick to Flame Tree Barbeque!

We got Fast Passes for Everest and walked around some more......

PB181259.jpg

Eventually our time was up and we were ready

PB181263.jpg

"I'm going to make you an offer you can't refuse".

Everest for the second time was just as terrifying. Again I did my combo of burying head in Jeremys shoulder, covering eyes, and covering ears, adjusting at the appropriate times. I thought I had it figured out how to not get quezy when going backwards. Just hold your breath! I thought to myself. Problem arose when I had no more breath to hold at the fastest point. Ugh!

Somehow, I managed to survive. Jay had a grand old time so it was worth it. Plus, I convinced him into taking this. This was yet another picture I had to persuede him into taking, but it was all worth it!

PB181265.jpg

Women and children run screaming in horror, men, get your swords!.......it's the Jay Monster!!! AHHHHHHHHHHH!

Sorry, I needed that.

After Everest we decided to do the Pangani Exploration Trail.

PB181273.jpg

Jeremy tried to convince me he could take a full grown Gorilla. Sorry darling, not quite there yet...

PB181283.jpg

........maybe next time.

PB181290.jpg

After the trail we decided to visit Camp Minnie Mickey and then call it a day. There were HUGE lines for all of the characters but we managed to get one with Santa Goofy which was pretty cute :thumbsup2

We had an early dinner reservation at Boma so we decided to make it back to the hotel to just relax for awhile before dinner. We sadly said our goodbyes to Animal Kingdom and reluctantly went to the bus stop. Fortunately we still had Magic Kingdom tonight, and EPCOT tomorrow so we weren't able to be too sad!

After relaxing in the room for a nominal amount of time it was time for dinner. We mad our way downstairs to check in. We were one of the first to arrive at the restaurant which was nice because we were seated almost immediately.

We made our way to our table and our waitress came over quickly. She was fast and efficient :thumbsup2
Just the kind of server I like. I had my bacardi and diet and jay his jack and coke.

Then it was time for the mad dash to the buffet tables! We both enjoy Boma because everything is SO different. It's definitely an experience worth trying!

We both had several helpings and by the time dinner was over we could easily have been rolled back to our room for a siesta but that was not on the agenda for today!

PB181302.jpg

Up Next: Our Night at Magic Kingdom, and our fun adventures at the boardwalk!!

After dinner we decided to go outside to see the animal viewing areas. We had made it out here last trip but still hadn't this trip and we knew if we didn't now it was never going to happen.

PB181319.jpg

What beautiful views there were!

PB181321.jpg

Our room was somewhere back there on the 4th floor.

PB181320.jpg

How beautiful is this resort??

PB181322.jpg

We could have stayed out here forever, but we wanted to catch the parade and wishes over at the Magic Kingdom and unfortunately time was limited. We made our way over to the bus stop and within no time there was a bus to take us to the park.

Upon arriving at the kingdom we knew we didn't have much time so instead of stressing and waiting on long lines (the park was pretty crowded as it was the start of thanksgiving week and the weekend) we would go to toontown and see if there was any cool characters to meet.

Without a wait we were able to meet Chip, Dale....and......

PB181329.jpg

Clarice! Not the best picture but I know a lot of people were out to find her.

We decided to see if we would be able to find a good spot for the parade and so ventured back over to our wonderful seat we had at the MVMCP. Score! Although we were an hour early we had it!

It was cold but we were determined to see the parade.

Wouldn't you know it that immediately as the parade starts I happened to move foward on my seat and a woman put her child where I was sitting leaving me hanging off the seat. Was she kidding? No. I tried to give her a look that inferred for her to move her child but this woman was not getting the point. Jay tried to get the point across more directly by telling her, "please move, you're right on top of us, in fact you're in our seat". The woman responded, "this whole thing is yours? You think there's only room for two of you?" (bear in mind she could barely speak english). Meanwhile the "thing" she spoke of was a stoop that the two of us could barely squeeze on to. Jay responded "yeah actually, this barely fits two, and you're leaning on top of us". Rude woman replies, "oh I guess you need more food for space to put". Obviously an insult saying how fat we are, but personally if I'm going to insult someone I'm going to make sure it's in proper grammar. How rude is that?????????? FINALLY she left.

We were able to enjoy the parade after this. Although SpectroMagic isn't one of our favorites it's always enjoyable.

PB181345.jpg

We left the parade a little early so that we knew we'd have a good viewing area for Wishes, which I absolutely love. I bought the soundtrack which I now have in my car and listen to it CONSTANTLY since returning home.

As usual, it was wonderful. I got teary eyed. We were leaving Magic Kingdom and wouldn't be back. It was a beautiful way to say goodbye.

Sadly we made our way out of the park and over to the bus station. We perked up though. I didn't tell you- we were going to the board walk instead of the hotel. We were going to Jellyrolls baby and nothing was stopping us!

We made our way over to the boardwalk. How cute it is! We had never been and I really enjoyed how it was set up.

We went into Jellyrolls and grabbed seats by the bar. The piano players were very good and played a lot of enjoyable songs. The crowd was a little older than us (mostly 40's) but we still had a great time. However, they did play A LOT of songs for little kids (think the bunny hop) which was a little confusing since it was 18 to get in but the crowd seemed to enjoy it. Of course, everyone was pretty drunk! My biggest complaint is that you can smoke in Jellyrolls which was a drag, but otherwise we enjoyed it. I don't know if we'd go back anytime soon as we enjoy pleasure island more, but it was definitely a good time!

PB181365.jpg

Maybe I was a little jaded because I was sick....who knows?

After stopping for a quick dance at the Atlantic Dance Hall we took a cab back to the resort and fell into a deep slumber.

Up Next: our last day with the mouse and the 3, err 2 caballeros!

Bride03- thanks for reading! As Tiggerbell noted we got the shirt at the Disney Store right before our trip. It was only $10!

Tiggerbell- thanks for continuing to read! I'm sad that it's almost over too! I'm going to miss talking to all of you!

How was the Atlantic Dance Hall? I was considering checking it out this trip but heard its slowing going under... any thoughts?? Thanks!

those were some great installments! :thumbsup2 hmm.. lemme see what i need to comment on --> there was that wONDERFUL foreign woman with her child .. i think you handled it very well! Im proud of you! Oh and WHO IS CLARICE? Because Im pretty sure that I have no idea who she is but shes pretty cute! Im so sad that this trip report is almost over .. i feel like i was there with you! :sad2: Well hopefully if you dont go back before I do then you can just live vicariously through MY trip report once I finally get there!! Cant wait for last day! :teeth:

KatGarcia- Atlantic Dance Hall was really big. They play music videos on large screens. It was DEAD but we like to go to clubs like that because it eliminates having a problem with disrespectful guys which we run into a lot in this area. I noticed you were from NY so you know what I'm talking about.

Blayne- thanks for your support with the foreign woman. It really was a ridiculous situation. Clarice is Chip n Dale's girlfriend...they fight over her in an old cartoon. Can't wait till you go!

Wow - we flew home on the 17th and I'm actually glad considering how cold it got! I don't do cold too well :cold:

That Narnia exhibit was a complete con - I wanted to see props and a making of or something - not a trailer for a film I saw at the cinema last year and own on DVD! The odd thing was when you actually got to the props people just marched right on past them :teeth:

Glad you finally made it to Jellyrolls... it's been on our list for the last two trips and we've not made it, usually being fit to drop by 10.30pm... maybe next year we'll get there!

Wow, I just got all caught up on your trip report, love the photos from AKL, my favourite resort :)

I was happy to see there was no plastic and scaffolding obstructing your room like at WL!

The photo with the mad hatter is hilarious - they could be long lost brothers and you in all your pics are adorable.

Thanks for sharing your trip with us.

Another great installment but I feel it coming to an end....NOOOOOOOOO!

Sorry you've had to deal with some very unmagical people during the parades. You handled it better than I would have. As far as you being fat--never!

Can't wait for what I'm guessing will be the last installment.

Ive been reading your report everyday at work and I too am sad that it will be over soon. You guys absolutley acomplished a lot and ate at a lot of good restaurants. This TR really got me excited for my trip with my DGF next week so thanks for going out of your way to give us all our fix.

WDWTravels- I just started reading your report and it's fabulous! If you get a chance try to stop by Jellyrolls, it's an experience to be had although I don't think that it's a do or die kind of excursion.

Cass-the Mad Hatter was great as was the AKL. I miss it! Have fun at Disney and I can't wait for your TR!

LuckyMommyx2- I'm sad that I've come to an end here also! I just noticed something in above your avatar...tu parle francaise? Je dois etudier francaise!

GreyStroke- thanks so much for reading and for your response. I hope that you guys have a wonderful time and I can't wait for your TR!

Thanks for sharing a photo of Clarice! I had NO idea what she even looked like! And as far as the rudies along the parade route??? I am SO glad you stood your ground (or sat your ground as the case may be). Just cause they have kids or are from "somewhere else" doesn't make it okay to act in such a rude manner!

Thanks for sharing such a magical trip with us!

Jaycns- Clarice was really cute! As for the rude parade people, they really amazed me. I couldn't get over that things went down that way. I've never seen anyone so rude and I'm used to dealing with new yorkers!

Do I see what i THINK I SEE?? Your going on a trip in FEBRUARY!!!! Yay! What dates? And when was this decided? Yay another trip report im excited! Will we be there the same time??

We woke up around nine this morning We wanted to make the most out of our last day. We didn't have to check in at the Magical Express until 4 so we were definitely going to the parks.

After a very difficult pack (one of the reason I love driving, oh the amount of souveniers is never ending!). Finally we finished and said our sad good-byes to our beautiful room. We made our way to the bus stop around 10:30 and by 11 we were in the park.

PB191374.jpg

We decided to neglect future world and do one more round the world. Especially because we were flying. I HATE flying and I get nervous the whole time before. Alcohol is the way to go!

Still, breakfast had to be had so we stopped at a little stand on the way to the showcase. I had yet another great chocolate chip muffin and tea (I WAS SICK at this point in the trip) and Jay had a croissant.

We lingered and people watched for a bit just enjoying our breakfast. We reflected on the wonderful and magical vacation we had already had and how grateful we were to have had it.

Eventually we strolled over to Mexico and met some cool guys!

PB191376.jpg

I was really excited when we walked over to them that I forgot I had a margarita in my hand. Panchito kept signaling for me to drop the liquor but I didn't understand and overall it was slightly embarassing with all the lovely looks parents were giving me. Abashed I took a quick shot of Jay and we were out of there!

We made our way over to Norway "Velllllllcome to Norvay, you are not the first to come this vay and you vill not be ze last". Think we rode that one too many times this trip? We said our goodbyes to our beloved anorexic polar bear and off we were to explore China. I attempted to shop but Jay was on wallet patrol mumbling "Christmas is cancelled!". Idle threats!

Yet, he has nooooo problem getting some shots in Germany ey? :rolleyes1

PB191385.jpg

Injustice if I ever saw it!

We sort of just strolled around after this. We took a seat on a bench and really just reflected on our wonderful vacation. Although we were sad to go home, we knew we'd be back.

We decided we were actually theme-parked out and wanted to spend the remaining time we had at our resort. We said our goodbyes to our precious world and back to our resort for one last time.

We decided to go by the pool bar and just talk. That got old fast as my nerves were ticking so we went to the arcade.

PB191390.jpg

Pinball rocks.

Before we knew it our time at Disney was up and we were whisked away on our not so magical bus back to the airport, and hence back to reality.

PB191395.jpg

We arrived at the airport pretty early so we sat at the bar to calm our neves. We talked about our wonderful vacation and the next day. Unfortunately we wouldn't be arriving in Newark until after 10 and we both had to be up at 7 for work/school :headache:

We boarded and off we were. We had saved our headsets...would we get a movie? Oh no, it was the exact same rotation of comedy shows we had seen on the way here! BOOOOOOOO!

We made it home in one piece and back we were to the land of the ordinary.

Up Next: Final Thoughts

The last day is always the worst, isn't it? We always get the first flight out so we don't sit around looking at the clock and getting depressed. We keep saying we're going to get one of the last flights out "one of these trips" but it hasn't happened yet.
I didn't mind flying until our last trip. One the way down we were skirting the edge of a hurricane and the way back we hit a nasty wind shear--the lasted a few minutes but it was the first time I prayed outloud on a plane! If our next flight is this bad, we may be driving for awhile.
BTW...I've read some of your food reports and they're excellent as well but they make me hungry! popcorn::
