Everyone has a different opinion about this. Some love it and do it every year while others have done it once and will never do it again.

I myself have not been able to attend so I can't give you any personal experience.

2littleprincesses28,

I had a GREAT time at MVMCP. Actually, more than a great time. It was amazing! I went the week of November 23 of last year and boy was the park empty when the party started! You feel as if you OWN the park because there was no waiting in line, very peaceful, free cookies and hot chocolate, nice breeze and you get to see multiple Disney characters in their christmas outfits (such as Belle & Beast) and there are in no way, any crowds. There was times that I didn't see people for a while. I even went on a couple of rides by myself such as Dumbo and the Magic Carpet Rides.

If I was to go this year again, I would spend a day in another park and then around 7pm head to the park (party starts at 8pm I believe) because it's best to take advantage of the no lines during this party, that way, you can waste your time in another park where there will be lines, get me? And I think the party ended at midnight so there is plenty of time to wonder around.

There is also a really nice christmas parade towards the end.

I won't ever do it again. Why ? because for the amount of money I paid it really was not worth it.Disney does enough holiday festivities around the parks and has tons of decorations out for free. The Christmas party used to be great since they sold only a small number of tickets so no crowds, you got a free pin,and a free photo along with the cookies/cocoa and party stuff. Now you get Crowds,cookies/cocoa, and a few party things.Plus if your children are real young and can't stay up till the end or late in the party( party ends at midnight) it is not getting your moneys worth. We did MNSSHP and while I felt that was totally worth it( since Disney doesn't really do Halloween other than the Mk party), it was still a waste since our 4 yr old ( even with a nap ) couldn't stay up past 10p.

I personally wouldn't recommend it for a 2 & 3 year old. There were parts that were very nice that we loved but it is very hard to see all of the special shows and the parade and wishes and little ones just can't stay up late enough to get your money's worth IMO. Plus, the decorations and some of the other things can be enjoyed in the MK during regular operating hours close to Christmas.

BTW - we actually loved the Pirates and Princess party but just did not have the same feeling about MVMCP.

My 2 year old loved the Halloween Party. He lasted til almost midnight. The key was emptying the day. We hit MK in the morning, but from about 11AM to 5PM, he slept at the hotel.

FWIW, this will be our first time attending MVMCP. When I bought the ticket (don't need one for my son b/c he'll only be 22 mos.) the CM told me they "unofficially" start letting guests in at 4:30. That is going to be our "hang around the pool and hopefully get in a long nap" day, so going to the party will be our park for the day and I figure we'll enjoy it for as long as he lasts.

It also depends on your kids. At hone DD goes to bed by 830pm latest. Even taking the party day off as a rest day and napping before, she simply could not go past 10pm.While we enjoyed our party time, the cost of it simply was not worth it.

Yes, same for the Halloween parties. Don't plan on it, but it seems they allow people in early a lot. We didn't worry last time since we have length of stay park-hoppers anyways,
