Mickey's Philharmagic - We have not seen this - Have you enjoyed this?

We normally go to WDW every Sept., but with the birth of our 2nd DD last August we were unable to go.
This year when we go we are looking forward to seeing Mickey's Philharmagic show. Before we go though we would like to hear some reviews from our friends here on this website.

Did you like it?

How long is it? - Will my 13month old DD be able to sit through it?

Is it 3D? - Will my 6yr old DD be freaked out by it (she hated Honey I Shrunk the Audience and we had to leave It's Tough to be a Bug - but she was 4yrs old at the time).

How loud is it? - Will my 13month old DD be scared of it?

Where is it? - Is it where the old Lion King show was in Fantasyland?

All the reviews would really help. Thanks so much!!

Philharmagic was very well done, a larger 3d screened adventure in the style of Muppets in MGM and Bugs in AK. It is not too scary, but does have moments of excitement and surprise (as do all of the 3d shows).

Mickey's Philharmagic is fantastic. It is in the building that used to hold the Lion King show in the Magic Kingdom - in the middle of Fantasyland.

The show is 3-D and inccludes many Disney characters and lots of singing and some fun surprises. I don't think the kids will be scared at all.

It is a "must-see" in our book.

This is my new favorite attraction--it is so well done, we saw it 3 times last week. You might just warn the 6 year old that it is loud and there is a portion during the Sorcerer's apprentice--you know, the buckets with the brooms--when the audience gets wet. Not soaked but a little more water than I was really expecting. I had a child who looked to be about 3 years old sitting next to me in one showing and that seemed to be the only part that frightened him. I didn't notice any children getting upset in the 3 showings that we saw. It includes favorite songs like Just Can't Wait to Be King from the Lion King. I hope you enjoy it as much as we did.

This was one of a few attractions that we took time to see twice on our trip. It was excellent! As far as scaring kids.....it might. The 2nd time we saw it my DS-4, told me he would take off the glasses for the scary part and put them on for the happy parts. There is some mood music that is a bit scary and the instruments seem angry a few times. There are corks flying out of bottles that puff air in your face, which surprise you. My 4yr old is gets scared very easily and was fine here. In the other 3-D shows we shouted "BOO "at the things that scared him, but in this one the scary parts are more subtle and he was ok. I did see one tiny girl, less than 2, that had to leave, but that was all. I did hold my DS-4 on my lap for all 3-D attractions, which helped too. By the way, my DS-6 and DS-8 LOVED it!

We absolutely loved this and hence we went to see it several times. Our 4 year old hated all other 3D shows and I ended up having to take her out of all of them except the Muppets but even that she would only sit through without putting the glasses on. However, Mickeys Philharmagic she loved and wasn't scared at all. It is definitely a must do.

We LOVED Philharmagic! The best way I can describe it is that it is like you are actually in the cartoon! It is very well done and I got a little teary during the show.

My DS who was 3 when we were there last October absolutely LOVED it. And he is scared of everything! He even jumps when the doorbell rings, but he laughed and laughed all through this production. He would put his hands out and try to touch the 3D objects.

I think I enjoyed watching him as much as I enjoyed the attraction itself. Ok....now I'm a little teary-eyed remembering. Sniff, sniff.

One of the highlights of our last trip. I can still see my DS-6 and my mom-60 grasping in the air for Ariel's beautiful jewels etc etc that were "flung" out before us!

I guess I'll be the first one to say we were disappointed. We really love Mickey, and well, we struggle to figure out why Mickey is in the title as he's not the main character. Music and 3-D were well done, but just not what we expected. My kids were bored and kept asking where Mickey was.

My 4yo son was scared in the other 3D shows, but liked this one. It seems more like a theater show, with the 3D things thrown in for good measure. I enjoyed it a lot, too.

She was a bit fidgity, and wouldn't leave the glasses on (couldn't understand the concept), but sat through it fine. Then again, she wasn't afraid of any of the rides or shows, except a little apprehensive when the lights went out in the HM. She slept through many rides the first time, so we took her back a second time. Her favorite was IASW. She had a great time, especially with the characters and just plain looking at everything there is to see, and went with the flow. You'll have a great time!

It's really a cute show. It is a little intense near the begining, complete with a powerful windstorm, but other than that it's just fun. No scary villains, to frightening scenes- just fun. Definatly not as intense as It's Tough to Be A Bug or even MuppetVision.

can't say enough about it. Fantastic. We saw it last week with some friends (some of whom are CM's) and we all agreed. "Quality Dinsey Entertainment"

We too had to leave ITTBAB, because both our 6 & 3yos and our friends 6 & 4yos were freaking out. With that said, DS, then 7 & almost 4 were fine in Mickeys Philharmagic. My youngest tends to not wear the glasses in the 3d shows, but they both sat through it just fine.
As for the show itself, I thought it was really cute. We will definitely be going back again.

It's a cute show. I've seen it twice and enjoyed it both times. But it wouldn't break my heart if I didn't see it again for awhile.

DH and I really enjoyed this show. We saw it in Oct. and Feb. However our 3yo did not like it. It was too loud for her and she did not like the 3-D effect. She saw it in Oct. and didn't cry but just sat there wide eyed and asking when is this over. She refused to see it in Feb. Actually she refuses to do Muppets too. I guess 3-D movies just aren't her thing.

Defiently take your older child to see it and maybe switch off the 13 month old - It just might be a little too loud for a real little one.

Thank you everyone for your posts. Another question - If I ask a CM to let us sit on the end of a row so I can leave if 13month DD is hysterical, will they let us? I would hate to have my DD scream during the show and ruin the experience for other visitors around us.

Well...we thought it was too short, the wait too long and
crowded, the show just not worth the hassle. DH and I both
felt that way and were suprised when we admitted it to each
other. Our wait even with FP was bad so that probably clouded
our minds a bit. Don't get me wrong, the show was good, just
not a repeat for us unless there is no wait.
