We are happy to say we just booked today.

We are a family of 3 from California. It will be our first Disney Cruise and second cruise overall. We will be celebrating our sons 7th birthday while on board. We are going to be adding a week most likely before the cruise at one of the DVC resorts with our points.

No cabin at this point as we did the inside guarantee but we will be looking to upgrade if the price ever becomes right.

I hope we can meet other Dis'rs online prior to the cruise.

We booked our first ever cruise in November. I can't wait until September. I am so excited. We are a couple living in the UK and will be staying in stateroom 2068. I have been wanting to do this for years and now my dream is finally coming through.

Yes, we are on the September 7th cruise and live in Manchester (not too far from you). We are hoping to spend three days at one of the moderate Disney Resorts (not booked yet) and then we have the cruise followed by 8 days at our home resort Old Key West. I am almost counting the days already. I can't wait. I have never been on a cruise nor stayed on site at Disney so this is a dream come true for me.

We are cruising too on the Sept 7th....We have a large group.....4 families all together.....this will be the 2nd Disney Cruise for 2 families and the 1st Disney Cruise for the other 2 families!!

Dolphingirl... Us too our very first cruise, we absolutely can't wait I went kinda mad and booked a verandah cabin and the Romance at Sea package, but what the heck September can't come soon enough!! We're staying at POFQ for 17 Nights before the cruise, so I vote you stay there You will LOVE WDW onsite... well, I've only been the once mind you but it was awesome

We just started looking last night and are hoping to book this for our 25th anniversary!!! I am so excited already and we haven't booked yet. We are even talking about renewing our vows on the cruise!

We are booked for the September 7th cruise. We are working with Disney Fairy Tale Weddings to renew our vows on the ship. I am so excited, I can't wait.

My family and I are also booked on this cruise. RM 8040. It will be the first cruise ever for all of us. Living in FL, we go to WDW two to three times a year but we have never been on the cruise. My mother thinks I'm more excited than my children will be. We (my mom, her boyfriend, and I) are supriseing my oldest son for his 10th birthday. I have been planning this for four years and can't believe it is actually going to be a reality. I have already payed to have our stateroom decorated for his birthday and the birthday basket ready for him. My three (will be four by the cruise) year old doesn't know we are going either, but every time he sees a boat in the water he insists he sees a disney cruise ship. Intuitive? I don't know. I can't wait to see their faces! It is such torture waiting 8 more months! I welcome ANY tips anyone has. I feel like I have NO idea what I'm doing but I am trying to find out as much info and insight as possible. I pray for good weather for all of us (no hurricanes!!!) and a most enjoyable trip!

Tinkerbell, you have plenty of time to become an "expert". We booked our first cruise 3 months ahead of sailing. For three months I read this board and my Passporter . It made such a big difference and certainly did not subtract from the thrill or surprise of the big event. Here's a tip for the kids. If you hadn't already thought of it, when you do tell them, let them make a countdown trip chain. For our first cruise, the chain was small enough to hang from up high on the wall. The second time, we booked so far in advance, the chain draped all around the kitchen. It looked like birthday party decorations for several months.

I'll try to attach a small picture of my kids with theirs. We used a paper cutter and the computer to make the links. It saved me from telling them how many days left all the time, they took turns with cutting a link each day, and it reinforced teaching calendar skills to the youngest. It's now a family tradition.

It's impossible to see, but each link goes something like this..

Yazee1, That is a REALLY great idea!!! Right now it is remaing a surprise. My intention is to not tell the birthday boy until we actually step onto the curb to get on the ship. I told him maybe we could go in a few years and he was bounceing off the walls with just that little bit of news. I have been tortureing the poor boy with making him watch the disney cruise video and looking at diffrent things on the website. He thinks I am just doing research for a few years from now, little does he know that I am useing it to find out what he really wants to do when we are there.

It sure seems like many of us have many things to celebrate.
I look forward to spending the next few months sharing ideas and stories with all of my fellow disney cruisers!
Oh, if anyone is driving in the night before, I found (through this board) that you can stay at the Radison and leave your car there. They will shuttle you for free to the cruise ship. It will save us the cost of parking and the rates are not bad at all.

Thanks for the congrats. I don't have days, but my ticker says six months and 25 days!!!! We'll be renewing our vows on the Wonder on the day at sea (from what I've read). If you are there and not busy with your family, I'd be honored if you take a few pics. Being it is only hubby and I, I will have to rely on paying big bucks for the Disney photographer and I havent' convinced hubby of that yet, lol.

See my new countdown ticker? We're officially going! I booked late last night. We live in Maryland, but my mom lives in Florida. We're going to drive to her house and drop the kids off for a visit with their grandmom. All I have to do now is tell my mom she's getting that visit with just her grandkids she's been asking for all these years. LOL.

We paid off our cruise last week! Only wild dogs can keep us away now!!
