Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween DIS Party! DISney Princesses Party with Style! *DONE*

I hope everyone had a great weekend! :goodvibes

DH ended up getting stuck in Pennsylvania with work and didn't get home until late on Saturday night. We did have time to grab a quick dinner together, so that was nice. :)

Well, I've been having a lot of teeth issues going on lately. I know I've talked about some of them on here, but now I'm going into all the process and procedures to get my mouth fixed. :headache:

I've been to the Orthodontist once a week for the past three weeks, which is not fun at all. I'll actually be back tomorrow to get an expander put in. The issue is that my mouth has gone back to the way it was originally before braces years and years ago. My upper teeth are pretty much shifting and collapsing in. It's very painful and it's actually making me grind my teeth away.

So, all of this is going to take months to repair and a lot of appliances in my mouth. :sad2: This means I won't be able to pretty much talk or eat any solid foods for the next week. :scared:

I've been through this before back when I was in elementary school and it's not something I want to go through again as an adult. But, on a happy note, I decided to have my last big meal for awhile today at San Angel Inn in Mexico! :)

Our meal was fantastic and Epcot was all decorated for Christmas already! :santa: DH actually ordered something that wasn't on the menu that the chef said he could prepare for him. The chef ended up bringing DH two entrees for the price of one, so he could try each of them and see what he liked best. We couldn't believe it and we were very impressed. :thumbsup2

I will be home this week, since I'm going to have to train myself to talk again with this big piece of metal in my mouth. :guilty: So, my main communication will be here on The DIS! ;)

Have a great week everyone and there will be more updates very soon! :wizard:

Sorry to hear that you are having more teeth issues. Sounds very painful. But hey at least you get to hang out here all week with us on the Dis. :goodvibes

I hope everything goes well and its not too painful this time around.

That's very cool about San Angel and the 2 dishes. I love all the Christmas decorations. I'm thinking since all the Christmas decorations are up already and I will have a free flight coming my way. That maybe next early Nov I will be heading down for an early Christmas trip!

Can't wait to hear what you, Lesley and Camille did at Epcot!

I'm late to your newest TR, but I love it so far! I even subscribed to your next DisMeet thread just in case I make it back down in the Spring. I missed you guys at MNSSHP by only a couple of days and was so bummed about it.

Sorry to hear of your mouth troubles- hope your back to your cheery self real soon!

:grouphug: I hope everything gets better. I remember when I had braces years ago too. Hopefully that wont happen what has to you! Hope you get back to your ol' self again soon!

Good luck Lindsey!!!

Treat yourself to a nice slushy... It will make you feel a little better...

Sending thoughts your way!!!

:grouphug:

I had braces when I was younger too and by looking at my teeth now you would never know it. It sucks! I'm sorry that you have to go through all of it again. I hope its not too bad this time around.

Hi Girls!

Cheryl - I can't wait to get back to Prime Time - maybe in April! Yummy!

Lindsey - I think you need a few Dole Whips!! Seriously, I hope your teeth are feeling better soon. It is Tynan pirate: and I who are coming in April:cool1: We are staying at the Westgate Lakes Resort on Turkey Lake Road up near SeaWorld. That is where the timeshare is that I chose. The place is HUGE!!! We are thinking DiscoveryCove for sure and the new SeaWorld water park, possibly Universal too, on top of Epcot and MGM. I hope we can get together. When I know better I will let you know our schedule.

Hang in there this week and eat cold yummy foods!
Oh, BTW - your blonder hair looks great!

I'm doing okay so far. It's only going to get worse at this point. :scared:
I can't speak to well right now and I can't even say my name!
I can barely swallow, which means eating is not an easy task.

I have to crank this expander in my mouth three times a day to stretch apart the roof of my mouth. Uggghhhh! I am dreading it...

I can't wait to see all the Christmas decorations! I am holding off for now and waiting until it gets a little closer to the holidays. I didn't see Epcot in the dark, so didn't see all the lights in all their glory.

I can't wait to see the lights on the castle! I saw a few pictures and it looks amazing!

So sorry about all the mouth issues, not fun at all. :sad2:

Awwww...thanks! :)

Thank you! :goodvibes
I know, of course, this happens right before Thanksgiving and Christmas when all you do is eat! :rotfl:
I have so many reservations in DL, so I am hoping this won't stop me from eating the "must have" food items.
I'll just have to make it work and I'm be popping the Advil!

Well, I am so glad you are here and made it to my Trippie!
That would be so great if you could make it to our DIS Meets in May!
We'd love to see you there! :grouphug:
Thanks for the sweet comment! I hope to have my mouth back by a year from now...

Thank you very much! :)
I actually have braces on my front four teeth now, but they are acrylic and clear, so you don't really notice them. It's to keep my front teeth from splitting, while I have the expander. Since, my teeth are nice and straight. The bite is just all wrong and painful.
I actually have the braces in the picture I posted and you can't even tell. ;)
When I had the expander the first time when I was in middle school, I actually had front teeth just like Goofy's! :goofy:
I had a Goofy themed birthday party that year! :lmao:

Good luck Lindsey!!!

Awwww....thanks Michelle! :)
I am going to the store tomorrow to buy lots of ice cream! ;)

Thanks! Yeah, I went through all the brace, pulling teeth, etc. for 5 years and it's awful having to do it again. It's one of those things that has to be done, but you don't want to do it or spend the money on it. They had assured me this is going to the last! I have had a permanent retainer on my bottom teeth, since I got my braces off years ago and they are perfect. This time, once they are fixed, I will get a permanent retainer on top too! :thumbsup2

A Dole Whips sounds so good right now! :goodvibes That always makes your day better! I am so glad Tynan gets to come this time! I'm sure he is really excited. Did you already tell him or are you surprising him? I know he was upset he didn't get to go in October. That's great that you got a nice Timeshare and that's a great location too! :thumbsup2 It sounds like you've got a lot planned already! :woohoo: Thanks for the encouragement. :thumbsup2

I'd normally tell you to introduce yourself to Mr's Ben & Jerry, but I do belive their dreamy concoctions have lots of stuff in them... I always love creamsickles when I don't feel good and also Lemon Italian ice....

I imagine Jax is taking care of his mom?

Eat to the Beat!

I was so excited that I was going to get to see Lesley & Camille again before they left the next day. It was their last day here and Lesley aka momshark had told me they were going to hang out at the pool for most of the early afternoon and would be heading over to Epcot later in the afternoon.

I decided I'd meet them once they went to Epcot. I gave Lesley a call that afternoon around 3:00 pm to see what they were up to. I left the house soon after that and on my way, I realized my cell phone battery was dying! There was no way for me to know where Lesley & Camille were without them calling me on my cell, so I had to turn back around to go home and charge my phone. Luckily, I have now bought a car charger for my phone. ;)

I had my phone charging and then it rang, it was Lesley! They were on their way over to Epcot to see the American Adventure and then they wanted to go to the Eat to the Beat concert at 5:45 pm.

I told her my phone was dying, so I had to come back home, but I was running out the door now. I was a little upset because if I hadn't had to turn around and go home, I could have enjoyed the American Adventure with them. :guilty:

I finally made it to Epcot and it is such a haul to make it back to the World Showcase! You don't realize how long of a walk it is, until you have to walk from the parking lot all the way back to the middle of the World Showcase to get to America!

n25002324_33039527_8281.jpg

I was a little hungry, so I decided I'd make a quick stop at a Food & Wine Festival booth during my journey to America. :goodvibes I stopped at New Zealand and got a yummy casserole they had topped with guacamole. It was so good!

I couldn't believe how crowded it was at Epcot! I couldn't even walk against the crowd! It was a pretty muggy afternoon too and the amount of people there did not help the situation! :scared1:

I finally made it to America and Lesley & Camille were still in the American Adventure and I saw a pretty large line forming for Eat to the Beat. I decided I'd get in line and save a spot for all of us. :thumbsup2

The line kept getting longer and then my cell phone rang. It was Lesley and they had just gotten out of the show. I told her I had a spot saved for them in line and she said they were going to grab a quick snack, then they'd be on their way. At that moment, they started letting the crowd into be seated, so I asked Lesley if I should hop out of line or not. She said they'd be there in a minute and see if I could save some seats.

I grabbed a great spot in the middle of the stage, right on the aisle. I realized my cell was dying again! I quickly called Lesley to let her know where to find me in the crowd before my cell died on me again!

Then, I heard Lesley! Yay, they had found me! :yay: I don't think Camille recognized me without my Pop-Princess do! :rotfl: She had never seen me looking "normal." :rotfl2:

That night's performer was Sheena Easton and Lesley & Camille were so excited about it! They had their ice cream and Lesley had her alcohol, which I did try a sip of! ;)

I must admit that I did not know much about Sheena Easton. Yes, I knew her name, but that was about it. I didn't know if she had a song I had heard or not. I had to see if I recognized any of them.

Sheena appeared on stage and she really put on a fabulous show! She was really funny and she had great interaction with the audience.

n25002324_33039590_9913.jpg

Lesley & Camille were just having a blast! Lesley had to run down near the stage to get a few close-up shots. ;) I did recognize two of her songs, "Morning Train" and "For Your Eyes Only." I hadn't heard them in years!

She came down into the audience for her final song and it was quite funny because she sat on a few men's laps in the audience. We could tell the men were loving that!

n25002324_33039591_142.jpg

She was walking right down the middle aisle, right where we were seating. Lesley & Camille were so excited! :yay: They each got to shake her hand! I think I did pretty well on getting us some great seats. ;) This was their moment and I was just enjoying it! I tried to do my best to get a picture of them with her, but this is all I got! :rotfl:

Lesley wasn't sure if she was going to wash her hand every again! :lmao: We had a lot of fun and now it was time to go grab another snack at the Food & Wine Festival.

More Food & Fun Soon!

Lindsey....

This might cheer you up....

OMGOSH THAT IS SO COOL!!!!! Do you know if they are doing this every night? We got our Mickey Monitor Newsletter and they made it sound like it was only for MVMCP. We're going in December and I would really love to see this! (and like the comments on the video, I too almost started crying when it started to light ;) )

Hey Lindsey! I finally made it to a few of the trip reports from your October meet. I'm not all the way through yours yet, but so far it looks like fun! Now I can't wait for the May Flowers/Birthday Extravaganza!

I just had to tell you, I remember getting an expander when I was young too. I got the Goofy gap teeth for awhile as well. I endured 6 months of that followed by a year in braces. Not fun when you're already an awkward teen, but luckily now I have a good bite and straight teeth. Just wanted to commiserate since I know how you feel and it's not fun. But I'm sure the outcome will be well worth it! Hope you're enjoying lots of ice cream and pudding!

I have to crank this expander in my mouth three times a day to stretch apart the roof of my mouth. Uggghhhh! I am dreading it...

OMG total flashback to my childhood. I had to do the expander thing and it is so painful. Here's hoping it is all worth it and you end up with a good result!

Lindsey...

I know that the mouth problems are a you know what...(I don't want to get tossed for that word...):scared:

BUT...

Just a thought...

My neice got to choose the rubber bands for her braces when she got them...

THINK LIME GREEN!!! (OK... so not on work days, but it's an idea...)

After being busy with my wedding and then my trip to Disney the week of Halloween, I'm finally getting a chance to catch up on your trippie, needed to get caught up before I head down to Disney again for my honeymoon next month! Loved reading about everything and can't wait to see the pictures of the castle suite! Love the pictures of Jax, he's so cute! I used to have a Maine coon cat and he looked so much like Jax!

:scared1: Hope you're doing ok. :grouphug:

I can't wait to see all the Christmas decorations! I am holding off for now and waiting until it gets a little closer to the holidays. I didn't see Epcot in the dark, so didn't see all the lights in all their glory.

The Christmas decorations are amazing!!! I can't wait to hear what you think! DH and I head back to WDW every x-mas, just to take everything in!

I can't wait to see the lights on the castle! I saw a few pictures and it looks amazing!

Do you know how long the lights are going to be on the castle? I'm keeping my fingers crossed that we'll be able to see them! :goodvibes
