**Mickey's Merry Cruisers** 12/13/09 4 night Wonder

Hey everyone, all I can say is "Woohooo!"

We are so excited to announce that me, my DH, and our 3 DDs (11, 8, 5 (almost 6)) will be joining you all on the Dec. 13th 4 night cruise. In addition to us we have 11 other family members traveling with us. For a total of 9 kids and 8 adults.

This is our first cruise ever, and December cannot get here fast enough. We actually booked our cruise last December and I have done lots of looking around for information but NEVER came across this discussion board, and never thought to even look for a discussion board. I am sooooo excited that we are now a part of it. Wish I would have found it sooner.

There is so much information here and I have to be honest my eyes hurt from trying to read it all. But I love it!

When I told my daughters about the discussion board and the other kids that are sailing with us they could not wait for me to get to know some of their parents, so they could possibly get to know some of the kids other than their cousins.

I have so many questions and don't know where to start. I think I will start with the whole door tag thing. Do you have to be a veteran cruiser to have one? Shadowryder, I am totally amazed at the talent of your designs. My husband and I totally want one.

Any tips you can give me regarding the type of clothing we should bring? I know it doesn't really get cold where we are going, but I just am not sure about what to bring. We are from Texas and it is never cold here, but when it is in the 60's we usually break out a light jacket cause that's a lot cooler than 102.

Oh and like Carol, we would love any suggestions on where to stay the night before as well.

It was lovely to receive your reply.

I'm sorry I cannot offer any advise on were to stay the night before the cruise. We are renting a villa in Davenport as we arrive in Orlando on the 9th so we will just be driving to the port on 13th the back to the villa until 30th.

As for clothes Melissa your weather is obviously very different to ours!!!! - it's summer here in the UK at the moment at its about 55' and raining cats & dogs!!!

The weather on the cruise last time was around 80'. It was quite windy at Nassu, cloudy but very humid at CC and very hot on the day at sea

As for what to wear lastime I didnt have a clue so I took suitcases&suitcases of clothes and hardly worn any of them!!! - Usually it was just vest tops and shorts for the day, then evening was as casual or as dressy as you want it to be!

We would love to do the FE this time with all our family (11 in total) so let me know what you girls think???

Important...pack light. You don't need formal wear ~ 4 night cruise is very casual unless you're dining at palo...nicely dressed not formal attire. Check out the boards to give you ideas. Send me a PM, I'll be more than happy to give you more info

We're staying at Travelodge Inn and Suites Orlando Airport. Reasonable price with plenty Hotel services and amenities

Really looking forward to our 2nd Disney Cruise, we can't wait, DD's are on countdown!!

With that said, I too will be leaving this thread. With the extended offering of free dining we've decided to switch to the 3-day cruise on the 17th. (So keep good care of the Wonder for me as we'll be getting on the same day you all disembark.) Switching to the 3-day will allow us more days in Disney before the cruise, more free dining, and less crowds. I will for sure miss the extra day at sea though.

I got a pack last week which just had our confirmation in, a DVD, and a cruise brochure in, but notsure if this is what you have got.

Not had the pack with luggage labels, etc in yet if that's what you mean??

Me and my family are, we did the 4night cruise around the same time of year 3 years ago and LOVED every minute of it, so we cant wait for this one.

Hi All

My DD (who is my baby!!) is going to be a big 10 years old on 15th December the day we are all at CC

Has anyone got any good ideas what I could do to make her day extra special so she feels as though it is her birthday??

I no CC is a fab place and don't get me wrong id be jumping for joy if i had my birthday there, but obviously she is only a child so would like the day to feel a bit special for her in some way

Any thoughts would be gratefully appreciated

i never did it before its a first but would lover to try it i think the kids would love it we already started on ideas for the fish extenders and the gifts just trying to get our names on the list we saw great pics looks like fun we hope some one is here that has done it before can help us get it started
