We don't go until 10/19 and we've never been so I look forward to hear how the reviews on first ones this year go... please if you go post a review for the rest of us!!!! :yay: :yay: :yay: :yay: :yay:

I'm also hoping somebody has went to one of the first events and can give a review. I'm mostly interested in any changes that were made since last year, especially if they made the "Screams" show any bettter.

We went during the media night which was Wednesday 10/3. I believe the official first day is 10/4 (Thursday). It seemed the same to me as last year except they weren't as generous with the candy as last year. They gave us handfuls last year at all the stations and this year, they ignored some adults and gave 2 pieces at some stations. I think some CMs were new to this and were a bit cautious. Long lines in some locations and others had none. Candy selection is about the same but they also started giving out those fruit leather (roll up) and one of my kids wanted that rather than the candy- which made me very happy :). Games are free but only three are open. We never took pictures with characters last year but it did seem like they did have more of them this year. There's a pirates themed area at Pacific Wharf where kids could color a Mickey mask or pirates map.

We didn't see the shows nor the parade. It was a school night and just didn't have the time to stick around for it.

I had never gone to this event before or even heard of it until a couple days ago. My mom and I went tonight (The 3rd) and had a GREAT time! No wait for the rides (even Tower of Terror). The games were fun to play (yes only 3 are open but that is because they are building a new ride and they had set up pirate games on Pirates Wharf). We got a lot of candy for our ages. We were really surprised actually. I think if the cast members see you are enthusiastic and interested they give you more. Plus they had healthy snacks like raisains, apples, carrots and fat free fruit leather. I didnt see any shows or parades but there was live music throughout the park and a lot of dancing. We got to see a lot of characters we wouldnt normally have seen and each did a great job of enteracting with each guest and making them feel special. My only complaint is that at 20 minutes to 11 EVERYTHING was closed. You couldnt even buy a drink. Supposedly the event ended at 11 but it seemed more like they wanted people out by 11. Even so Cast Members were not pushy about getting you out the gate. We are definitly planning on making this a yearly activity.

Thank you very much for the review... as we are all waiting anxiously.

I am sure we will be hearing from others after this weekend when they open the event to the public (starting tonight).

Thanks to everyone for filling in the rest of us!

Thanks for the info.....we go 10/12.....anyone else have info on the shows or parades?

We'll be there on the 12th as well! In fact we leave one week from today!!! See you there!!

I am soo excited.. I really can't wait. I am going Oct 29th, since everything else was sold out... But the posistive is that I'll get everyone elses' reviews. this was thet only think that bugged me
they ignored some adults .

Especially since everyone in my group is an adult... :sad2:

But I hope that it'll be different by the time we get there... :woohoo:
I'm excited!!!!

My mom and I are both adults and obviously so. Cast members went out of their way to make it an awesome experience for us even though there were not any children with us. Personally I think you get out of it what you put into it.
