I'll be at Disneyland during the Halloween Party time. Looking to do something different.

How is this Halloween Party? It seems pricey, an additional $50 a head average.

I'm assuming that the park closes at 7:00PM. How does this work? Everyone exits, and only people with tickets can re enter?

How crowded is it?

Are all of the rides still going, or only a few?

Weekday vs Weekend?

I already looked at the website and it seems fun, but it didn't really answer these questions. I would appreciate any additional information. Thank you.

Great Idea.

Despite the price it's very popular. Super firework show and a great time for the whole family. Lots of fun costumes around to see and dress up in one too if you'd like.

Kind of. At closing non ticketed guests will be asked to leave.

FYI...Party guests can enter on their party ticket 3 hours before the party starts. It is a decent way to visit DL for a long time on a cheap ticket.

A little to very. There is a lot of things going on which spreads crowds out very well. It does like always get crowded in the prime viewing areas for the Parade and Fireworks. Also a lot of people go to the special versions of Space and Haunted Mansion which you can ride during the day and whole season they are not unique to the parties.

Most.

Weekday vs Weekend?
Friday's are always busier and the hours are shifted an hour later. Starts at 4pm,7pm and goes to midnight. Tuesday's are 3pm,6pm to 11pm.

Check out the superthreads for lots of pictures, and a great place to ask questions about the parties and seasons.

We have done the party at WDW and it was a blast! Totally worth the cost for us. We are so excited to try the DL version next month! It is just a totally different feel- love all the costumes and the rare characters. It is a lot of fun.

We've done the WDW and the DL Halloween parties, and the one at Disneyland is just as good as the one at WDW. All DL lacks is something like the Boo to You ! Parade. (Love the Headless Horseman!). Still, it was great!

Last year, we did the party on Tuesday and Friday. Friday was noticeably more crowded, still very manageable. If anything, it's fun to go and see all of the costumes. We had a blast and are bummed we can't make it down for the party this year (but not too bummed since we're going next week :woohoo:)

I highly recommend the party. It's nice to see Disneyland in full Halloween mode.

ETA: Seeing Zero fly around the castle was also pretty cool. Liked that touch!
