are you wearing a costume? I would love to hear everyone's costume ideas. DH and I are hoping to hit the party on 10/18 and are thinking of dressing up as the Macho Man Randy Savage and Senstional Sherri. We are so excited and can't wait!

Oh jog58, I wish we were going to the same party...My boys are HUGE wrestling fans (old and new) and wouldve loved to see your costumes!

DH and myselfare going to wear halloween themed sweatshirts of some kind. DS(8) and DD(5) are dressing up. DD is going as Tinkerbell and DS (8) is not sure yet. DS (12) on the other hands is most likely going to be Stone Cold Steve Austin.

So excited!

We are going to the October 25th party.. I am not sure if Myself or DH will be dressing up, but both of our DD's will be (1) not sure and (7) will be a candy corn witch.

Are you going to be Randy and is metalis4ever going to be Sherri?!!?!?:rotfl2::rotfl2::lmao:
(sorry, I had to ask!)

:lmao: no but tights are involved with the Macho King Randy Savage costume....I can't wait to see the look on people's faces when I am shopping around the mall for zebra print tights that will fit a 6'4 230 lb guy :goodvibes

Stone Cold Steve Austin costume! That is AWESOME!! :cool1:

I really don't mean to rain on your parade. I think they are really cool costumes, but I would check the dress code for the party before going out and spending money for a costume that Disney, in it's infinite wisdom may not approve of and send you packing so to speak. Just take my advice and check the website for their dress code is before going out and spending money on a costume that Disney may not let you into the party that you spent a good chunk of money to attend. I'm not a prude, but they might be.

:yay: We are going Friday, Sept. 30th party date and are dressing up as Cleopatra, a pharoah and a mummy. Looking forward to it! Finally got other family members to join us. Don't know if they are dressing up but I know we will all have fun! All 8 of us.

Thanks for the heads up. I actually just reread the rules and please let me know if I am missing something but how can our costumes be considered against the rules? Unless someone is offended by really bad eighties hair/prom dress or ridiculous color combinations. Or is it the man in wrestling tights portion of things? ;) Since you can't hear tone online I am legitimately curious as to why our costumes might not be allowed, not trying to be snarky or anything. :)

Just for easy reference:

Please choose costumes that are not obstructive, offensive, or violent. Guests may wear masks, but masks must not obstruct vision and the eyes must be visible at all times. Guests dressed as Disney characters may not pose for photos or sign autographs for other guests. Costumes should not drag on the ground, and should not contain sharp or pointed objects that could strike other guests. Costumes should not contain weapons or objects which could be mistaken for weapons

I'm going to the party on the 14th. I am ironing this on a shirt to wear:

jog58 If you think that your costume is fine that is the most important thing. I was just making sure that you were aware of the costume regulations, so that there are no problems. I was merely stating my concerns in a polite and non offensive way. Should you choose to think otherwise is your problem. tlovedis I love the cute design of the decal and will awesome at the party!

A candy corn. Yellow bottoms (haven't decided if I should wear shorts or a skirt), orange top, and a white paper cone hat. :cool1:

Yes, you can bask in my awesomely cool idea! :)

I did not think you were being impolite in the least, I totally appreciate the heads up. Thanks :goodvibes

LOL love it! :)

My best advice to ANYONE attending the MHP parties is to make sure that whatever you are wearing is comfortable. There's a great deal of walking and partying involved with it, and because of this it's really really important to be comfortable, no matter what you are wearing. A backpack with a bag inside of it is also handy, if you are into trick or treating, as the bags they give you are really tiny and they get full fast. If you have a backpack, then you can empty the bag once it get's full and refill it over and over again. This advice is from someone who went to 2 MHP parties back to back last year, and knows what they are talking about from past experience. It also get's cool in the evening and nighttime hrs, so it's a good idea to throw a light jacket into the backpack and take it out when the backpack get's full of candy, and it get's cooler out (so there's more room for candy LOL!).

Not very original but I am going as a mouseketeer. My daughter is going as Cinderella and my mom as the Fairy Godmother.

We are going to be garden gnomes; at least, that's the plan. All I have to do is get around to making some costumes! The kids got some cute dirndl-type dresses last year in Solvang and dh has a bottle green suede vest so that's how the idea evolved. I *think* I have a peasanty jumper to wear so I just have to figure out hats and bottoms for dh.
