I was wondering if the MK is really crowded on the days they have the Halloween party at night. We are going to the MK on MOnday Oct 16 just for the day not the party at night but I was wondering if the park is more crowded than usual during the day or do most people come only at night for the Halloween party.
Thanks!

i was wondering that 2! And i was also wondering if one day tickets for mk are cheaper that day since it is only a half day?

I can't comment on the crowds, but I can assure you that there is no discount on admission

The park seems to get busy as the day goes on. The morn is not to bad. And as far as a discount, no way. Just think at all the money disney makes. For us (when we go) we buy tickets for the day and for the party! Double dipping huh...We do not plan on doing the party this year but have enjoyed it in the past. :)

mel373...I can't tell you from exprience because we only go to the party on a MNSSHP day.I think I've read somewhere over the years that it's not too bad on a party day.But 2 or 3 yars ago MNSSHP ticket holders can start getting into the MK with only their party ticket about 4pm so I imagine what seven dwarfs said about later in the day it gets busier is very true. :sunny:

It's not a half day.In the Fall the MK hours are 9am to 8 or 9pm.It's not opened as late as in the Summer and busier times of the year when closing is usually 11pm or midnite.

I'm thinking it would be less crowded for two reasons:
1) people going to the party are going to spend the day at a different park since they can't get into MK until 4pm
and
2) the park closes at 6pm (or 7pm?) on party days so many people will choose a different park that day (one that stays open later or has EMH, etc).

It won't be empty, but I think it will be much lighter than the day before or after.

People with hoppers could do the MK in the morning and then head to another park in the evening. I imagine that people without hoppers would pick another park for the day, unless they are attending the party or want to schedule a special dinner (Hoop, resort dinner, etc.) for that evening.

I found this to be the case on a MVMCP night, I was there during the day. I think people with a 4 day hopper chose to go the next day when the park was open until 10 or 11 and there was spectro, etc. I had a DH whose ready to go after lunch and kids that are done by 4 or 5 so there is no drawback for use to go on a day when it closes early. I would encourage people with APs to pick this day over some others. Things are more complicated not with EMH's so, who knows, but it worked fine for us back when.
