The MK wasn't the only place on Tuesday that held a celebration for Mickey's 75th birthday!! A Kindergarten classroom in a small South Jersey town had one too!! As a teacher who is also a Disney fanatic, I planned this for my Social Studies lesson. We talked about Walt and how he grew up and things he did, how cartoons are drawn, the kids colored pictures I got from the official Disney site, and played a letter game from the official site. We topped off the day with Mickey Mouse pancakes! The kids had a ball, the whole school knew that I was the one doing this, and we had a ball! I wore my pins, my socks, my shirt, my hat, etc.... Watch out Michael Eisner!!!!! Mrs. Ingersoll's Class can celebrate too!!!
