Mickey's Backyard BBQ

Next week I'm going to Mickey's Backyard BBQ. I know it starts at 6:30, but does anyone know if I need to get there @ 5:30 to check in to get a good seat or it doesn't matter...

Second..If anyone has any feedback about the BBQ I would love to hear your experiences...

Yes they like you to show up about an hour early so everyone can check in, You really don't have to, it is better if you do, it does get pretty crowded, but they will still let in late comers, if your not to late.
I enjoyed the BBQ, its all you can eat, ribs, chicken, corn, fix-ens, icecream, the seating is long picnic tables, free choice so sit where you like, the characters come out sing and dance and roam around visiting. You will have fun.

We arrived early one year and waited in a long line. We got a great seat though. Last year it was close to 7:00 when we arrived. They helped us find a seat - not a good view of the entertainment, but we didn't really feel as though we missed out on anything.

It is my son's favorite place to go in WDW - we have eaten there 5 times and are sure to go again.
