I have this booked. I have allready done HDD review, and we really liked it (STRAwberry shortcake mmm)
So tell me about the BBQ ? It will be myself,husband and almost 3 year old DD who loves characters and dancing.
OH I wish I had something good to say....
I don't mean to put a damper on things. We did this Aug. 2009. First of all we arrived 30 minutes early and the entire pavilion was full of people already eating.
They had already staked out their tables.
This was not a big deal. We just found another table to the side and that was fine. Food was ok.
We were with our friends and their birthday boy! So here it goes. He is not really "outgoing" per say. He stayed at the table the whole time. The characters "kind of" mingle. My 5 year old however is very outgoing. She made her way to the dance floor. It was VERY difficult to see or get near the characters. When she did they would not really acknowledge her or the others. They just danced. Minnie was espcially like this! Goofy, Chip and Dale were much better about acknowledging the kids.
However, my little girl loves Minnie and you can only imagine her face.
I felt very bad for her.
The character interaction is very limited at this event and for 2 credits we have had a much better time other places for 1 credit. They also did not announce our friends bday and never brought out his cake. I had spoken with our waiter and a manager on duty about both of these things! BLAH!
The night kind of left a bad taste in our mouths and I can tell you we will never do this event again. Oh, I am also a teacher and I like things as you could say... organized. This event was not. It is a free for all
