Mickey's Backyard BBQ or Luau??

My soon to be husband and I are going for our Honeymoon next March!! We were thinking of doing the BBQ or Luau. I have never done a dinner show, and he has barely any Disney experience (can't wait to show him the ropes!!)

I have read pretty mixed reviews on both on other sites. What do you think for two adults, me being a Disney nut! and both of us looking for fun and something different.

I love both, but the BBQ is so much more Disney.

Unless he's really into the western theming, I'd vote for the more romantic luau. It's beautiful, whereas the BBQ is a bunch of kids dancing-not what I would choose for a honeymoon.

I would skip both and do the Hoop Dee Doo Review. It is hands-down the best dinner show in my opinion.

I'd go with this suggestion too.

IMHO, the luau is interesting if you've never seen one but the food isn't much and there's really not a lot of Disney. But I will say just strolling around the Poly afterwards is pretty romantic.

Thanks for the info. I have heard great stuff about the Hoop de Doo, but I don't think its for us. I think I might be leaning more toward the Luau, is it worth to pay for Cat 1? or can we go for cheaper tickets?
