Mickey Straws?

Does anyone know the current price of the Mickey Straws (little colored ones that twist into a Mickey Head)?


I took over Preschool storytime back in October, because we lost the children's librarian who was doing it earlier in the summer. (they had a lot of substitute storytime librarians rotating in and out to cover). I feel bad that I'm going to be gone from them and they will have to have yet ANOTHER librarian fill in.

I've got allergy kiddo's so bringing back cookies or suckers is a no go and since I have 2 1/2 to 5 year olds not all of them can have pencils.

I figure either stickers or straws (or both depending on price). I bought some straws a few years back and they were like .50, and I figure they may have gone up.

Money is not a problem but I'd rather stay in the $30-$40 range.

You can get tons of stickers for free! Just ask the cast members - most have them.

Yes .59 is correct. (was the price I was quoted for BOG lunch)

.59 is not a problem and I'll buy a bunch (extra mickey straws are never a bad thing).

I might see about getting a lot of the stickers as well. I thought I might just buy them and save myself the asking, but if I have a bag with me then I'll ask as well. (again extra mickey stickers never a bad thing).


I don't want to do pennies because I have some younger kids and I have at least one child with some delays who seems the type to stick it in their mouth.

Normally I wouldn't even bother but I really do feel bad. We've been on break for the holidays and they'll miss next Monday for closing of MLK holiday. They have just begun to get back into a routine and are used to seeing my face and then I'll be gone. Luckily one of our half time employees sat in with me today and she's going to do the story time while I'm out so that they won't be totally surprised, plus she's going to do 'travel' as her theme and bring up that I went on vacation and rode a plane, etc.


I used to be a teacher and was a preschool teacher at daycare before that so getting to do the munchkin routine again is so much fun, and I'll miss their happy little faces.

You can't buy the stickers that the CM's give out - I asked.

BUT...when I asked, they asked me how many I needed. I said about 25 and the CM rolled off at least a hundred (probably more) and gave them to me!! That was 3 trips ago and my son is still giving out the same stickers to his friends!

I have bought the straws for my students several times. However, I recommend buying them at a park, not a resort. I found at Pecos Bills that when I asked for all four colors, they went "downstairs" and found the other colors for me. On another trip, I asked at the counter service at Wilderness Lodge, and they told me they did not have all the colors at their location.

As for stickers, ask often and stock up. Once I was handed an entire roll.
