After searching the board and having a hard time finding current photos of the in room celebration I decided to post ours :). I got the Mickey & Minnie Grand Magical Family Welcome. I'll post better photos of it in the morning but here is what it looked liked when we arrived at GCH tonight :) My daughter was so excited and my husband thought it was cool.
I'll take a photo of the front side of our door in the morning.

The view from our room :)

Thank you for posting this. I'm currently researching the in room celebration right now.

Love the pics. What's in the picture with the white tray? I see cookies?

That seems like a great surprise! ...and what a great view! So glad you had a great time.

Wow what all was included. Is there a list of everything they included and how much stuff was? Did you tell them what your fav chr and things were?

It is a set up package. It is pretty nice. We've done it for my granddaughter. She LOVED it (she was 2) and thought Mickey brought her all these gifts. She still sleeps with her Pluto pillow. The price is $549 now. I am copying the description.

Enjoy a new, “over-the-top” welcome, prepared by Mickey and Minnie Mouse, for your Disneyland® Resort room! This grand experience begins with a “character” door banner, featuring a decorative Mickey window, mail slot and mail full of “personality”. As you peek inside, see Mickey’s footprints and castle luminaries, lighting the way to a room full of surprises! On the bed, a Toon Town Times newspaper features your family’s name, headlining the front page story as our special guest! The magic continues with gifts, surprises and keepsakes to enhance your park and resort visit. For the park, our pal filled his character-inspired bin with goodies you’ll love. There are special Mickey vision glasses, to view the park through the eyes of a mouse, Glow with the Show ears to light up the night during any nighttime spectacular, and a set of photo memory cards to create your own photo captions to show friends and family your “Disney side”. Minnie created a home away from home experience by filling her designer-mouse bin with delicious Disney treats and surprises for the resort. You’ll especially love her floral cookie bouquet that sweetens the moment! The magic continues with a “Disney kiss goodnight” featuring a heart-warming story, “wishing star” and character chocolates to help create the perfect end to your day at the park. These surprises and more can now be yours, adding even more magic and memories at the happiest place on earth!

They used to do it in boxes instead of bags, and you could fold the boxes. It is fairly easy to transport, unless you are in a compact. We are 6 hours out, and had room (and we did a Birthday and the grand welcome.)

It was cookies! and the tray is a frame minnie tray. Also on the tray was chocolates, and a crystal star with a note from the seven dwarfs saying that it was authentic and from them lol. The cookies are soo good! Especially the ones that looked like flowers that came in a minnie mug.

I wonder what the other room celebrations look like. I saw there were two other mickey welcomes, a Christmas one, and even now an Elsa one lol. I wish I could find a way to do something like this. Lol. I may just have to do the baskets for the gn hotels

That's quite the setup. Beautiful view too. Pretty interesting room config. Was it a suite or something?

Great pictures - thanks for sharing! I've been looking for someone who has done this package but haven't come across anybody until now, so this was very helpful! :-)

It isn't too far from the elevator by Napa. Book, then call and request that specific suite. They might be able to work it out.
Our next trip is at the DLH, but for our October, 2016 trip that may be exactly what the Dr. ordered. Can it sleep 3 adults and 4 children?

One bedrooms sleep 6. But it looks like it could also be a 2 bedroom, which would sleep 9-10 depending on the configuration.

Here is the pic of the 1 bedroom living area at the Grand.
