I was up at 7:30 this morning and we were out by about 8:45 on our way to Animal Kingdom.
First stop was Festival of the Lion King but Camp Minnie Mickey was not open by the time we got there so we sat and waited and got chatting to a couple from Wales. About 9:40 we wandered down and straight into the theatre, where we sat in the warthog section and I videoed the whole show, which was as good as ever.
After the show we wandered round to Asia and through the Maharajah Jungle Trek.
From there we went and watched the 11:30 Flights of Wonder show.
After that show we left the park and went back to BWV where we had the last 2 cinnabons that we had picked up earlier in the week.
We went back out at 2:10 and drove round to Downtown Disney where we went to the Margarita Bar for the DIBB meet. After getting a drink we met up with Joa (Bats), Tina (Mrs Potts), Martin (Disney Dutton) and others (apologies for not remembering all the names). We sat chatting for an hour or so then went back to BWV where I sat and watched the Miami Dolphins game on the TV.
Just after half time I realised what the time was (6:05) and twigged that the game wouldn't be finishing until about 7:15. As it appeared that the Dolphins were doing about as well as usual (not very) I decided it was time to go out and get something to eat. The plan had originally been to go to the Big River Grille & Brewing Works on the Boardwalk but we had read some bad reviews of it this afternoon that had put us off so instead we went back to Sweet Tomatoes.
As usual we started off with a plate of salad each then had various soups including loaded potato with bacon, divan chicken and spicy tortilla then Dad had ice cream and I had a chocolate brownie.
Suitably stuffed we drove back to the Boardwalk then walked straight over to EPCOT and took up a spot on the UK/France peninsula to watch Illuminations. Once again the Illuminations cruises moored up alongside so I'm wondering if this is something that they do all the time now?
After Illuminations we walked back to BWV and relaxed for a while before going to bed with plans of going to EPCOT for the Food & Wine Festival tomorrow.
