Mickey Mail Question

Up until this past Sunday I had a room only reservation at CSR for our arrival on Sept 8 and had not received Mickey Mail. Is Mickey Mail only for those who have booked a vacation package? Now that I have a vacation package booked, room and DDP, will I receive MM even though I am just 10 days from arrival? If I don't receive anything in the mail I'm guessing they will have things waiting for me at check-in.

You are correct on both counts. Mickey Mail is only sent for vacation packages, not for room only reservations. Since your arrival date is so close I don't think they will send your Mickey Mail- but it will be waiting for you when you check into your resort. If you are going to be using DME, however, I would call to make sure they are sending your Magic Express tags.

Another question: Do some forms of Mickey Mail come for those who book through a third party, or only if you booked directly through Disney? I know from past experience that if it's booked, the Magical Express packet comes regardless of where you booked it.

We booked our forthcoming WDW/All-Star Movies vacation through Delta Vacations, so I'm curious.

I've gotten the ME express information even when I booked room only or through AAA. If you don't get your ME information a couple weeks before your trip, give them a call. If it's cutting it too close they will express mail your tags to you.

Speaking of Mickey Mail, anyone know what the tags I got in the mail are that look like airline tags?

The 3d Mickey head tags are luggage tags ,a courtesy gift for you to insert your name and contact information, and attach to your bag.

The long yellow sticky tags are the Magical Express tags that you'll put on your luggage, so they know which bags to take directly out of the airplane and send to your resort.
