We leave for Disney on Saturday and I am re-thinking my FP for the Mickey Meet and Greet at the town square theater. We have 3 little ones, 7, 3 and 1 and know they would love to hear Mickey talking which is why we got a FP. Our FP is at 9am and I am wondering if it is a waste of a FP. How long are the lines for this, would there be any right after rope drop? I thought about switching it to Big Thunder Mountain Railroad a little later that morning. Any advise will be appreciated!

I had never been to see Mickey at Town Square Theater. I used a fast pass to bring my 4 year old Daughter. She was a bit nervous when he was talking but I must say it was really great.

The regular line was not too long but when I came out I went back in to see about a reservation to Tony's and the same people were still on line so I think the fast pass was worth it.

I was really glad we did it. I actually went back another time to get it on video because I did not know he was going to talk so I was not prepared.

I do think there were time when that regular line was almost non-existent so if you are willing to check every now and then the wait time you should be able to get it done without the fast pass. A lot of people walk right by and do not realize that Mickey is in there! ::MinnieMo::MinnieMo::MinnieMo::MinnieMo

I have not seen the talking Mickey there. But when we were there in October, you could watch the sign outside the theatre and pick when the lines were short. I think we waited 10 minutes and then maybe 5 minutes the other time we saw him.

Enjoy your trip!

When we met him in November, we had two different experiences. First time we went, there were only 3 families in front of us. Second time, the wait was 45 minutes. Depends on when you catch him. It's Definitely worth the wait in my opinion! My kids loved him!! It was awesome to hear him talk to the kids!

Thanks! I know they would love it and thought it would be a great thing to do first thing, our little welcome to Disney! I will check the wait times tomorrow morning at park opening and then see. If anyone did this right after rope drop I would love to hear how quickly the line formed and how long of a wait.

I have heard that sometimes the Mickey is not talking. Will the CMs tell you this before you wait in line?

Great question - and if I can piggy back on that - What times of day did you get "talking" Mickey and when did you get the quiet mouse?

We saw Talkng Mickey about 30 minutes after rope drop and there was a 10 minute wait posted. We were first in line at the entrance door to Mickey's dressing room and DD told the attendant she hadn't met Talking Mickey yet and that's why we were there. The CM excused himself and went to check. Because there was only one other family behind us, when he returned he said it would be just a little bit longer. All of us were ushered in to meet Talking Mickey.

It isn't dependent upon the time of day. It's dependent on all of the components of the "Magic" working at the time of your visit. If one part is down at the moment of your visit, Mickey loses his voice.

We did not go to the talking Mickey but we just returned from a 13 day stay and in my experience FP for characters is a waste of a FP. We used two the last day for two princesses we could not get. The stand by line at both of these stated 30 minutes. We used the FP line and we waited 25 minutes. So to emit just was not worth the FP we might as well have waited in the stand by line.
