Well after making the other holiday gum wrappers...I finally took the time to make a Mickey Gum Wrapper. Hope you like it! If you are going to Disney and staying at a condo...these would be cute on the table at each place setting.

Here is the picture...sorry it's not one of my better pictures as it is a little bit grainy but the template is not. Also, the gum wrapper is lined up...but I took the picture looking down at Mickey so that you could see the gum...so the wrapper looks like it isn't quite lined up. Of course you might not have noticed if I hadn't pointed it out. :)

Here is an image of the template that I made...if you like it get it from my 4shared file. I posted the link below. If you save it from this thread...it takes out the extra white space and then the dimensions are not correct. This image is 8.5 x 11 and when you go to print it...there is enough white space around the edges that it will print just fine.

And I always love helping others set up the images to print so you don't have to waste a bunch of ink and paper trying to figure out how to get it to work.

Directions for how to make it:
I generally set mine up in Word but you can print directly from the original jpeg image...just make sure that it is 8.5x11 inches.

To set up in a word document:
Open up a word document and set the margins all to "0" you can do this by going to "file" then "Page Setup" and set all of the margins to "0". When you see the popup that says "...outside the printable area..." click "ignore" then "okay". I left enough white space that it will print just fine!

Next insert the image into the Word document by going to "insert" then "Picture" and "from file". (Hopefully you will remember which picture file you saved it in!) Then click on the image and go to "format" then "picture" and in the "size" tab...make sure the size is set to 8.5x11.

Once it is all set up...you are ready to print it on cardstock and trim out all of the images on the page. Trim out all the way around every image. Leave some white space between Mickey's tail and leg if you want to see his tail...or you can cut off his tail and assume it is hiding behind his back. :goodvibes

Then take the rectangle image with lines and wrap it around the pack of gum making sure that the lines match the corners of the gum and secure with double sided tape. This is the cheap gum like juicy fruit or big red...you know the original gum that used to come in sticks. :goodvibes

Next, you will have to line up the gum on the front of the image...then fold mickey's feet underneath the gum so that the image is L shaped. Then adhere the gum to the Mickey. The gum will help the Mickey to stand up on a table. This is a pretty big image...once you fold the feet it will stand approximate 6.5 inches tall.

I hope you are able to use this on a fun trip or just at home to liven up a family meal or special occasion.

Dolly,

This (and the others you've posted) are adorable. My DD is so excited to make the Thanksgiving one for the WHOLE family...

Thanks so much for sharing. I have to admit I am a bit of a "JTDOLLY" stalker; as your posts are always so helpful. I read some threads just because you've posted.

Thanks again for helping out this less than talented/creative Mom!!

How exciting...my very fist stalker! :cool1: I understand because I am a Natalie stalker. :goodvibes So glad that you like my ideas and things.

Let me know if the directions work okay for you. I would hate for your daughter to be disappointed if it didn't turn out perfect! Print one and try it before you print a bunch.
