Hi,

So I got the template and created my own mickey fans, so now the issue is how to put them all together. For anyone that has made them, how did you attach the stick, and how did you attach the papers? I'm worried that hot glue will make the paper wrinkle, but that a glue runner won't be strong enough. Any ideas? Thanks a bunch!

I used Rubber Cement. It didn't wrinkle the paper at all but a few of them started coming apart a bit. I just ended up stapling the two sides next to the stick on a few of them. You couldn't really see it.

I got a sample from http://fairytalewedding.com. I was going to order from them until I realized the cost. It would cost almost $700 for 160 of them.

I learned on a post that I made and Sandy told me that she used a circle cutter to cut it out. I bought one yesterday and its kinda hard to get the right shape of it even after I traced the sample.

I'm going to use Cardstock. I work at a print shop so all the printing will be done there. I went to Lowe's and got FREE paint stirrers. They say Lowes on them but they are under the paper so you wont see it.

On the sample it was double sided tape that was use and suprisingly enough it was together really well.

Good luck.

I tried glue stick and runner- it did ok.

so far the best I found is spray adhesive, messy but holds well

Not to be lazy :rolleyes1 , but where did you find the template? I would love to make Mickey fans for my princess's DFTW...

3M Super 77 Is an extremely strong adhesive....but it is a spray and you would need lots of ventilation, quite strong smelling...

I used double sided tape to secure the stick ( I got them at Hobby Lobby), then rubber cement for the rest of them. Used alot of pressure to make sure they stuck well. Also put a small piece of double sided tape to secure the bow in the back so it wouldn't slide on the stick. I found just cutting them out with small scissors worked the best.
