Michelle & John's Disneymoon PJ

Hi everyone! John & I are getting married on 7/26/08 in my hometown of Dallas, TX, and then we're off for a DISNEYMOON : later that week. We're spending 3 nights at Old Key West, and then heading to Port Canaveral for a 4-night Disney Cruise!!!!

So far, we've made all of our ADR's for the WDW portion of the trip - we went with the DxDDP so we could eat at some signature restaurants, as well as some of our favorites. I'm hoping to be able to add in the honeymoon photo shoot, but since we booked our trip with DVC points instead of cash, I'm a little worried that they won't let us - but we're gonna try anyway!

So far, this is our itinerary:
Thurs, 7/31: arrive MCO @ 10:00AM. Check in at OKW. Lunch ressie at Le Cellier (Epcot); dinner ressie at Jiko (AKL)
Fri, 8/1: Lunch ressie @ Yak & Yeti (hoping for photo shoot on this day); dinner ressie at Wolfgang Puck Cafe
Sat, 8/2: Lunch ressie @ 50s Prime Time Cafe; dinner ressie @ Citrico's
Sun, 8/3: breakfast ressie @ Olivia's (at OKW); leave at noon for Port Canaveral
Sun, 8/3-Thurs, 8/7: DISNEY CRUISE!!!

It's noted on our ADR's that we're on our honeymoon, as well as with the cruise line & with OKW, so we're hoping for a little extra pixie dust.

I've enjoyed reading the PJ's and TR's that are already posted here. I'll try to post more instead of all the lurking.

You are going to love the cruise!!! I don't see why you wouldn't be able to book the honeymoon photoshoot,that wouldn't make sense.Look into it.

You will love Le Cellier!!!! The rest of your ADR's are great

Hi neighbor! My DF and I are also having a hometown wedding with a Disneymoon. We will be there 6/8/08-6/14/08. No cruise for us though

We also booked the DxDDP. We are eating at Le Cellier too. I'm loving being able to book some signature restaurants for our honeymoon! They also noted on our reservations that we were on our Honeymoon. I can't wait!

After spending the day dealing with snow delays, trying to get to Dallas, its finally time to backtrack and introduce everyone to the cast for our PJ: the bride & groom!

About the Bride:
Hi, thats me, Michelle. I'm 29, and this is my 2nd wedding. The first was a long time ago, when I was young & stupid. It lasted a short while, we realized it was a bad idea, and went our separate ways. I'm a huge Disney fanatic, and we would've done a DFTW but both sets of parents vetoed that really quick!

About the Groom:
That'd be John, my fiance. He's 25, will be 26 before the wedding. We've been together about a a year & a half, engaged for 7 months. This is his first wedding. He's also a Disney lover, which works out pretty well for me.

How we met:
We're both teachers. About 2 years ago, I was hired at the school where he teaches. We met a few days before school started, when another co-worker introduced us. We didn't talk much at first, but by the end of the first month of school, he'd asked me to hang out with him & some friends at a sports bar near my apartment. We had our first date in October, when he took me to an art exhibit at the NY Botanical Garden.

The proposal:
On July 11, 2007, we went to the Bronx Zoo for the afternoon. When we got to the tiger exhibit, John got down on one knee and proposed. Here's the ring (again, I hope it works):

So that gets us caught up. We're planning our wedding for July, and then we're off on our Disneymoon! Oh yeah, and in the meantime, we're also preparing to move from NYC to the Dallas area (my hometown) about 3 weeks before the wedding.
