Baby # 19 (Josie Brooklyn) was born prematurely via emergency C-Section on 12-11-09, weighing 1 pound 6 ounces. Michelle was air-lifted. I've read pre-eclampsia/gallstones. Anyone?

Does there come a time when enough is enough?

(I do hope this little girl survives. Just wonder if Michele and Jim Bob will have the time for her long-term care).

There is a long post about this very subject floating around here some where if you search for it.:goodvibes

She was airlifted in case she needed to deliver and she did deliver via c-section, 6 days later I believe it was.

There is a huge thread on here somewhere about it. Lots of discussion on that topic.

She had the gallstone issue--but then it was discovered that she also had pre-eclampsia.

While it wasn't published in the media as severe HELLP (acronym is probably wrong), some posters stated that it was likely that as the condition is very severe high blood pressure and gallstones can be a symptom. It is very dangerous to mom and can kill her and the only method of treatment is delivery--regardless of age of gestation.

(I'm on a pregnancy board and a few months ago, one of the moms had to be delivered for that reason. Her baby was born alive, but far too young to make it.)

As for the controversy--lots of thoughtful discussion on both sides on that thread.:goodvibes

born prematurely via emergency C-Section on 12-11-09,
If you see that big news happened on 12/11/09, chances are it made it to the DIS the same day, even before CNN reports it. ;)
