Michelle & Daniel's Wishes Wedding-WP/GF 6.8.2012 *We're back! Starting TR SOON!*

Mmm, that Snow White desert looks yum. I hate raspberries and any kind of fruit though. Can you make it so you just get chocolate with choc mousse? Damn you make me want to do a PS when my time comes LOL

Look forward to seeing your BEO and hearing the rest of your plans.

Your inspiration pics are GORGEOUS! I hope your BEO isn't too bad. If you don't mind sharing, how many guests are you expecting?

Thank you! :goodvibes It wasn't as bad as I thought. We're planning on having about 60 people or so. And that's mainly family and a few close friends! It's crazy how adding a few people can make a big difference!

I like the rhinestone around the stem idea, that's really pretty with the red! Why couldn't you taste the red velvet cake? Did you have to tell them which flavors ahead of time?

Thanks! I think it will turn out well. We didn't taste the red velvet because I was stupid and forgot to ask... :headache: I still think it will be ok without tasting it!

It was DELICIOUS!! i really wish we could have it, but $20 a person is too expensive. I hope you do have a PS! It was SO much fun! I really enjoyed the experience.

Hello everyone! I know it's been awhile... things have been CRAZY!!!! I just got done with a huge conference this past week so the weeks leading up to it have been crazy busy. Now that's its over, I'm hoping to be totally wedding focused. :)

So, I have a lot of updating to do. I got my BEO from Meri. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, which it great! Though, we have gone over budget, so isn't so good.... but, my parents are being so amazing. I know they really want me to have my dream day, and I REALLY appreciate all they are doing for me :worship:

Here's the BEO for those of you who are interested. This is it in the final stages. We might have a few more edits, but this is close! I've included floral as well, because it always seems like I can never find examples on the boards!

So, not too bad. Maybe a little crazy that we're spending $2250 on characters lol but Daniel and I love chip and dale, but we also couldn't not have mickey and minnie!

Here's a picture of our room layout

Another update - I finally sent out invitations! :) I was stressing over these forever! But, they turned out really great and I love them! I used cardsandpockets.com to order all of the materials and printed them myself. Excuse the crappy iphone pictures

I plan to work on the menus, programs, and placecards soon. I'll use of some of the material I have left over from the invitations, but I might need to order more.

Other things I've managed to get done or am in the process of getting done:

-ordered by veil
-scheduled my wedding dress alterations appointment
-ordering my gobo. I'm sorry but I hate the castle and fireworks gobos that disney offers so I'm ordering a customized one with our names at a lot lower price! gobosource.com if anyone is interested!

Though, I'm not quite sure which design to do. What do you think?

-working on my shoes! I decided to bedazzle my shoes, so I'm in the process of working on them. I think it's going to take FOREVER! lol but I'll get them done.
-ordering my aisle runner. I haven't done this yet. I think I'm going to order a customized one from bella event designs (I think it's called). Has anyone ever used them? I don't want an aisle runner that's going to wrinkle and all of that mess..

So, that's my update for now. Hopefully now that my conference is over an my work craziness has died down a bit, I can get some other stuff down :)

Hi

I am super excited by the Pet Spa!!! When we fly out in September for our wedding we are flying from UK so wont be able to bring our Pug Stanley with us. So glad I found you PJ... keep it coming

Oh! and I forgot to mention that we decided what we are doing for our honeymoon! We're going on a Disney cruise! :) It's all booked and everything! We set sail on the Fantasy on June 9th! :yay:

Hi Kathryn! Thanks! You probably just found it because I'm terrible at updating :rotfl: but I'm hoping that will change as I'm going in to wedding mode since it's about 2 months away!!

Aww! I'm sorry you can't bring your Pug Stanley! (I love pugs! :lovestruc) If he does get to come with you, he should definitely stay there! I'd love it if I was a dog :lmao:

The only thing I had problem with was that I typed in my email that I wanted my saying "10 to 15 feet from the end" so it was at the end of the aisle by the stairs. I think I should have said "10 to 15 feet from the beginning" so it would be at the beginning of aisle, but I would double check with the be sure. And honestly, I didn't even think about where I should have had it until pictures!

But it came unwrinkled and it was sooo pretty and for such a great price (what Disney was charging for a plain runner). I would definitely reccommend them!

Thanks Andrea! Your aisle runner turned out really good! When you ordered it, did you add on the non-skid backing?? When I asked my planner about an aisle runner, she said that Disney uses some kind of foam backing to make sure it stays down.

Your plans look great so far! We are from Atlanta also (although we are a bit older than you lol) and got married last April at the wedding pavillion! We looked at Atlanta for venues at first too. I'm so glad I pushed for the disney dream wedding! You are in good hands with Meri and Elizabeth - she was my planner and I had Elizabeth for floral too! :thumbsup2 Who is your chef? We had Chef Corey who I cannot recommend more!

Good luck with the rest of the planning!

thanks everyone! :goodvibes

So I got an email from Bill on Thursday and he sent me the information for the room block and the LOA! yay! its really starting to happen! :cloud9:

BUT! I'm already having some wedding drama.... (its too early...how can this be!!) I'm starting to worry about this whole room block situation. My family is already creating drama about where they wanna stay and how long and how much they wanna spend... I'm trying to be as accommodating as possible to everyone but it seems like I'm just getting complaints about costs and what not :sad1: I also wanted everyone to be close to one another... you know?? I understand that when inviting 50 or so guests not everyone is going to stay in the same hotel together... but I wanted at least the wedding party to be in the same place and that's not looking so good... How did everyone else deal with this kind of thing? Was the room block this frustrating??

I hear you. We had similar issues. Our room block was GF (where we stayed and where most of the wedding events were), POFQ and Pop.

Here is where our bridal party stayed:

1 bridesmaid - Pop
1 bridemaid - Contemp

2 best men - CBR :confused3

Plus, after one day at CBR, one best man had us help him book at room at Contemp because he did not like CBR at all. They had them in a building that was barely occupied. He said it was like a ghost town. He stayed there because the other best man picked it (who is not familar with disney). After staying a night, the best man who moves goes, now I see why it wasn't in your room block!! :rotfl2: lol.

So, yes, people will be all over the place. I actually put POFQ on the room list for the bridesmaid who ended up at Pop - her husband went to Tulane. Her review of Pop was that it wasn't very quiet. :lmao:ya think? That's why I pegged you for POFQ. Haha. Oh well.

Hang in there. I had to do a spreadsheet to keep up with where all the guests ended up (for the welcome bags). That helps... Good luck.

I just read your PJ!!! I absolutely LOVE your dress! The earrings to, BLING everywhere! :rotfl: :cool2: I can't wait 2 see your blinged out shoes :cutie: it took me 11 1/2 hrs per shoe  but I wanted even the bottom of the shoes blinged out to try & recreate my own " cinderella glass slipper". Crazy I know but you only get 1 BIG day :goodvibes Everything sounds AWESOME :thumbsup2

Thanks! I didn't order the non-skid backing. I don't know if automatically comes with it, or if we didn't need it, but either way, we didn't have any problems with it moving or staying down.

Hi! :wave2: Just wanna say I adore your dress! I love it! :goodvibes The invites look good too! Can't wait to see your shoes & what else you have planned~

Just jumping on the bandwagon and joining in! Thanks for posting your BEO. It's always helpful to see how Disney lays it out. Your dress is amazing and everything else looks like it will make for a beautiful wedding!

P.S. It was love at first sight with the WP for me, too!

Oh! And I can't wait to hear about your honeymoon! We will be honeymooning on the Fantasy, too!

Jumping in for the last few months of planning! I've enjoyed reading your PJ so far. Also, thanks for posting your BEO. Very helpful!
