I am praising God in a huge way today. Our 6 year old daughter Michala was diagnosed with cancer when she was a year old. When she was 14 months old her leg was amputated due to the cancer. Today is Michala's 5th anniversary of being cancer free. She is such a fighter. I wanted to share some pictures of her that I took today. I took to many to share them all so I will spare you and just share a few of them. I had to attach the picture of her hair because that's thanks to chemo. Before chemo her hair had a red tint and was very thin. This is what she got when her hair grew back.

Many of you have been very supportive of us through this battle. We are so thankful for the friendships made and the love and support. Thanks a million!!!

What a wonderful milestone!!! Congratulations to both of you. Hoping for many more great milestones to come. BTW, that new hair is just goregous!!!

Beautiful little girl! Sounds like she's been through a lot, but congrats on the 5th anniversary! :D

Wonderful! Congrats to all of you.

Oh happiest of days for you!! I'll be thinking of her tonight at our local Relay for Life. It's stories like yours that make it all worth it. Congratulations to you all. She is a beauty.

Congrats! (I also had the joy of going from yucky thin hair to to much hair to count- one of the few perks...)

May this just be the beginning of those 5 year anniversaries!

Congratulations! I really do know how you feel. My son was three when he had his leg amputation due to cancer (Ewing's Sarcoma). He will be 20 in August! Just to let you know he even played football in high school. He just finished his sophmore year at college. There really is light at the end of the tunnel.. Wishing you all the best.

I remember her - wasn't she in the disney magazine with her stuffed nemo
she looks so happy (and healthy) now
best wishes for all of you

Oh my, she is so pretty, what wonderful pictures, what a great day. I can't tell you how big a smile I have. And some of the other stories shared here too are so great. Thanks for sharing, everyone.
