So I just got my initial email with all the planning forms to fill out and find myself completely overwhelmed at the moment

I just purchased our sand ceremony set! I love it!

Now I just need to purchase the sand! They didn't have our colors. I don't think it will be hard to find some colored sand. I can usually get that from Hobby Lobby or JoAnns' or someplace of the sort!

Hey Karen... it is Karen right? I ordered it from makingmemoriesandmore.net I've seen it at several other online stores, including ebay but they were the lowest price. i checked them out on the bbb and they are rated satisfactory and haven't received any complaints! They have all sorts of things!

I'm so very excited! 5nights/6days at All Star Music with free dining! Hopefully, it will work out that we can have our planning session while we are down there! I'm keeping my fingers crossed that Diane is available one of the days! This is my first trip to disney in the fall, is September really hot? Wahoo for bday/planning session trips!!!

So a couple of things:

I'm most likely going to book Patricia Lejeune. I don't normally wear make up and I am very worried about having someone who doesn't know me do my hair/make up. I've consistently seen and heard good things about Patricia and think I would be most comfortable with her. I'm planning on doing a trial when we go down in September!

I'm waiting to hear from Diane regarding our Planning Session date. I emailed her last week but she's been on vacation so hopefully she'll be available one of the days we are down there! Keep your fingers crossed for us!

Mike said we can go to MNSSHP on my bday which makes me very excited! I've never been to any of the parties in the MK, so it's a first! I'm thinking of making a cute shirt to wear!

Oh, and I'm starting to look into officients. Rev. Jack is at the top of my list right now. So I just need to chat with Mike about it!

Oh and as much as I would love professional videography, I think we might just have my sister's hubby do video. He just got a new HD camera and loves it. so yeah... that will save a nice chunk of change.

WAZOO! I'm uber excited for you. Birthday trips are the best! Remember to go to Guest Relations to get your birthday present from Disney. I got a 75 dollar gift card I couldn't believe it! And embrace your BD - pixie dust happens when you least expect it!!!

The wonderful young lady who booked my reservation was all excited I was going for my bday AND my planning session! I'm pretty sure she marked a note in our reservation and told me to go online and register my bday which I did. I just hope I don't lose that confirmation form in the next 3 months

Don't be overwhelmed with the planning thing - you don't need all the answers! That's just a starting point for the planners. Esp. don't agonize over the song selections - you can email that to Diane after the PS.

Meg you must have been reading my mind. Song selections are going to be difficult for us. We're both musicians so there are so many beautiful pieces we want to use. I just feel like I have so many decisions to make now!

I like never wear makeup. Like I think I can count the number of times I have on one hand...but of course I'm gonna wear makeup for the wedding. Is Sept. when you're going down for the PS? I was thinking of doing a trial when I go for my planning session (hopefully X-mas time). That way I won't be worrying about it 'til I get down there for the wedding time.

I'm kinda' mad about the videography thing. I'm a comm. major so I just wish I could clone myself and have myself do it!

Sorry I haven't been around in a few days. I was participating in the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer Chicago! It was a great success and the Chicago Walk raised $7 million. My hip was hurting pretty bad at about mile 22 but I made it all the way! All 39.3 miles and then some! I learned from last year and took today off! So now I have time for a small but exciting update! We received the cd's in the mail with the music and cakes on them. Music we haven't really started thinking about but we've narrowed down the cakes. It's a little difficult to imagine these cakes as 2 tier cakes so if anybody has had one can you please post a pick of yours so I can get a better idea. Also, which one do you ladies like best? opinions wanted!!! How difficult is it to have Disney customize one of these? can we make minor changes with them?

Theresa-all of them are beautiful! You can definitely talk to your planner about customization. We had the destination castle with fresh floral, and it looks like this...

So, I'd also tell you that each cake can look a little different than the pictures.
