Smoking marijuana, and being a "ho" isn't normal for any age group. And being bought up by the media doesn't enable you from making good decisions. I know plenty of 20 something year olds who's never smoked pot, and very many teenagers who don't raise their shirts for attention. I don't see why people think actresses and singers are "hero's" anyway. I would never say Hannah Montana is my hero. I honestly am beginning not to like her. I don't think she can act & her singing isn't to well either. And as for Justin Gaston he grew up five minutes from my home. I honestly don't think they're dating.. I think he's doing it for publicity. But we're not talking about all that. About MP, I like him. He's a great swimmer. I'm not disappointed in him or anything, cause I don't know him. He made a mistake, he apologized. The country needs to get over it, even though I don't see that happening any time soon.

Au contraire, it is pretty normal for teens to smoke marijuana. I just did a quick Yahoo! search and pulled up the first website. From statistics in 2002, 76.5% of teens have experimented, used regularly, or still used marijuana.

They both have extremely huge shoes to fill since they're "role models", and with them being so famous, it's extremely hard to keep the "disappointing" things that they do under wraps.
I say leave them alone, and mind your own business. Imagine if it was you that smoked the pot or took those "bad" pictures. I wouldn't want people sitting around calling me a ho when they don't know me personally.

The only reason people are making a big deal about it is because they are famous. But 'normal' people do smoke pot a lot more than I think others want to realize. There was this assignment I had to do in my speech class once, over drugs most used oftenly used by college students. Pot was one of them.

And Miley? She's young. She messed up. And is going to make a LOT more mistakes over the period of her life. Everybody does. Again, the only reason they're making such a big deal out of it is because she's famous.

Everybody makes mistakes tho. It's just part of being human. I really think it's past time the media figures that out and leaves these poor people alone.

Honestly, the real question is why is Miley Cyrus a "role model"?
Kids should try to be like her, why? Because she acts on a sitcom? Sings mostly pre-written for her music?
I don't see anything worth modeling behavior after in there.

And I feel bad for the pictures getting leaked. Sure, it was dumb.
But did she want the whole world to see her topless? Probably not.
Seriously. Put yourself in that situation. Your grandma turning on the news and seeing scandalous photos of yourself.
She's underage. The media should have shown some more respect.

Regardless, neither of them dissappoint me.
Because I have no say in their lives.
And I don't get why everyone else thinks that being a celebrity gives everyone free reign on passing judgments on you.

They're total strangers.
WE DON'T KNOW THEM.
It doesn't matter what the hell they do.

I don't see any other disney star her age doing that. [Vanessa Hudgens and Adrien Bailon aren't her age]

Um hello? Since when is it acceptable to ever post semi-nude pictures or smoke? Has society crumbled so much that now we can justify bad deeds with ages? Honestly, once you're over 13, you should have a better grip on what's right and what's wrong.

The picture thing is really stupid.
Sure it wasn't the most tasteful picture ever (she looked terrible lol) but it was taken by a professional photographer, for media purposes.
It's kind of a different thing than a nudie pic.

Vanessa Hudgens was around the same age as Miley when she took those pictures. Maybe a year older. No one knows for sure when they were taken though.

Even if you're over 13, you're still a kid. Kids make mistakes and bad decisions. It's part of life.

Smoking pot and taking stupid pictures are relatively normal and very common.

Btw, society never 'crumbles', it just adopts new practices as the norm.

For the record I know people who've been smoking pot and stripping off since they were 12. I consider it normal. I don't live in a bad neighbourhood either xD

Oh I did see those.
But they were such a small blip on my radar that I forgot completely about them.
