Michael Phelps vs. Hannah Montana: The Showdown of Disappointment

There were also pictures of her leaked that she had taken of herself, some fairly provactive (in a shower with just a see through white t-shirt on, etc.)
I still think it's not that big of a deal, and that the media shouldn't have swarmed it like they did, because she's underage, and there SHOULD be some boundaries.
The actually showed pictures like that in the media?

That's definitely crossing the line. She's only 15 and even though those pictures were stupid, they were only meant to be seen by her friends, I'm sure.

The only reason I'm slightly disappointed in those two are:

Michael - There are other ways to have fun without pot.
Miley - Why would you take semi-nudie pics of yourself? Maybe I'm just weird, but I like things to be special and sacred. Your body is a temple, treat it good.

But that's just me. Whatevzzz.

Micheal Phelps was deff. the bigger disappointment.

Mileys a 16 year old girl who gained a ridiculous amount of fame in a short amount of time.
Sixteen year olds act irresponsibly, what she does just seems worse because she lives under a microscope.

She acts like most 16 year olds, but that is not an excuse for her.
With fame comes responsibility she shouldn't act the way she does.

A train wreck out of Miley was expected, nobody saw the Micheal phelps thing coming.

Michael Phelps didn't have a childhood. He spent it training, he never took a day of no matter it's date.
He has freedom and now that he has it, he doesn't know what to do with it.

I don't think we have the right to be dissapointed. We aren't these peoples family.

What does it really matter to US?

Ugh. What I don't get is the comments that say,"Oh, he/she is just geting a teenager!"

Um hello? Since when is it acceptable to ever post semi-nude pictures or smoke? Has society crumbled so much that now we can justify bad deeds with ages? Honestly, once you're over 13, you should have a better grip on what's right and what's wrong.

The part of your brain that deals with judgment and risk taking is still developing into your early 20s. A 13 year old does know basically what's right and wrong, but when you are young you do things that aren't fully thought out. It's possible. I took some questionable pictures for a boyfriend when I was 17 because I was stupid and wanted to make him happy :sad2:

If you're in your mid 20s, then yea, I think it's time to grow up. Early 20s and teenagers I tend to excuse more they are still learning and learning not to do stupid things.

Lmao, this is what my hometown hockey team is doing for a game.

And for those who don't want to read the whole thing:

• All fans who are graduates of a DARE program (Drug Abuse Resistance Education) can get into the game for just $2 by bringing their DARE graduation certificate to the Admirals' office or the Bradley Center box office.

• Anyone with the name Michael, Phelps, Mary Jane, Cheech, Chong, Weed (Wied) or anyone who has won an Olympic Gold Medal can also get their ticket for only $2.

• The team is giving away a weed wacker from National Ace Hardware, signed by the Admirals.

• If the team scores with 4:20 -- a number that's synonymous with pot culture -- on the clock in any period, one fan will win a season ticket for the following season.

• The team is providing a document shredder outside of section 225 for fans to destroy their own incriminating, Phelps-like photos.
