Michael Jackson's service tonight

Paris is just stunning, isnt she? I really thought it was sad when that feed ended. Michael will love being near Walt!

CNN says Lisa Marie Presley was emotional when Michael's casket arrived.

Paris was stunning. The kids all looked good.

All guests went past his casket. Elizabeth Taylor was the last person to leave the casket. They said Katherine was very emotional (which was to be expected) throughout the service. So sad!!

I meant that as a general rule. I believe some of them were close to Michael but I don't believe they were all close to Michael. It was obvious (to me at least) that Marlon was very close to Michael at the public memorial service. I believe Janet and Randy were close to Michael too. We know Michael was close to his mother. I have my doubts about some of the others.

Sometimes you do develop close relationships that go just as deep as family if not deeper. I think Elizabeth Taylor and Michael had that for sure.

I totally understand. I just didn't want the difference between the love of family and the love of friends to be compared. We are born to our family, we choose our friends. Lord KNOWS I wouldn't have chosen some of MY family members...

CNN just said Diana Ross is NOT there.

I'm sure she had her reasons but I wonder why she wasn't there? Maybe I'm remembering wrong but wasn't she named by Michael as a guardian for the kids if Katherine couldn't?

"There were cameras shooting everything at the after-party for Michael Jackson's burial -- and we're told the whole thing could end up on A&E.

Sources tell TMZ footage from inside the party -- as well as the funeral itself -- will be used for an A&E special, plus a DVD at a later date.

Don't expect to see Joe or Katherine Jackson, Michael's three children or Elizabeth Taylor in the footage though -- we're told none of them went to the restaurant after the burial.

A few other random tidbits about the affair: Rat Pack music played all night, "Casablanca" was projected onto the walls, the brothers talked about a reunion tour-- and Janet seemed the most grief stricken of the group."

Yes she was named by him. I don't understand why she wasn't there. She wasn't at the Staples Center memorial either. I don't think she has publically spoken since Michael's passing.

One of the media outlets must be confused because in this thread http://disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2268387&page=10 and post 144, the boys are reported to be at the dinner.

I wondered about that too. The media reported the kids as well as Katherine and Joe Jackson and Elizabeth Taylor did not go to dinner afterwards. Then I saw the pics you posted and knew they were wrong. Wonder why they thought they weren't there??!!

Yeah, that's why I think at least one of the media outlets is confused. Sure looks like they were there to me.
