Miami at a stand still now. Line has not moved since we got here 30 minutes ago.

We’ve heard the operating system is down. Disney having any problems anywhere else. image.jpg

I've done two cruises out of Miami in the COVID era and that line was a mess both times. On both of my sailings, we figured out that the "line" was just people milling around until their later PATs were called. My group arrived after our PAT due to flight delays both times and the cast members directed us to skip the "line" entirely and go right in.

Not sure if that's what you're experiencing but that line might not be a line at all.

@Snowwhyt you are on the Transatlantic I figure?

I heard boarding takes an unusual time for this one because DCL is doing PCR tests for everyone.

We are in the same line as noted above. Transatlantic from Miami. We had a 12 boarding time and got here at 11 15 on a shuttle from our hotel because they put the fear of god into you for r getting here too early. . We have been waiting for 45 min. The line is moving very slowly. They have just called 10 30 and 11. I’m guessing we will be lucky if we get on by 130 or 2. Crazy.

Fingers crossed you'll board quickly!

Enjoy your cruise!

That's interesting. With Virgin you can be on within 10 minutes of port arrival

Update. After waiting in line about 90 min we got in terminal. Another 1 5 or 20 min to take test. Now waiting for results which take about an hour. I had originally hoped we would be on by 2. Silly me. Hoping for 230 now with a 12 boarding time.

I hope they extend the dining hours for you!

We had a 12 boarding time
I know it seems like symantics, but you had a 12:00 PAT (Port Arrival Time). Not a 12:00 boarding time. DCL doesn't give out "boarding times" but does the Port Arrival Time which is the time you are expected to arrive at the port. From that point, you then have a "boarding group" number, which is a number and not a time.

I do hope you get onboard soon, though. It sounds like a long morning.

We finally got to our room about 245. Once we got our negative test results which took 30 min then we waited in line to check in, then walked onboard, were introduced and then directed to another line to ensure we knew how to connect to the app since paper navigators are no longer offered. Even though I told them I knew how to use it, thrre wasn’t any way to avoid that line because then you had to go to the right letter for your safety procedure which consisted of scanning the letter. Quite a process and one that caused a lot of anxiety and unfortunately crabby people.
After waiting in a long sweaty line outside with no masks for almost 2 hours, then going inside where a mask was required to take the test and then wait n a crowded terminal for test results where masks weren’t required. If positive then retested and if positive again then no one in your party is allowed on although by that time about 100 people were in your party because of close proximity for the last few hours and they f course won’t get sick or positive until in the middle of the ocean. Crazy times. But being on a Disney again after 2 1/2 years is worth it…I hope.
By the way if you want a paper navigator ask your room steward. We only brought one phone for my husband and I so the steward is giving him a paper copy everyday that is just for the crew. It is in the tiniest type face but it works. The last time we were on they still offered paper copies at guest services. Not any more.

1130 boarding time in San Diego didn’t get on the ship until 3pm.
