This is the message left on the phone when we returned to our room after a busy Friday afternoon to get some rest before going out again Friday night. No Mia here I thought to myself and just erased the message hoping whoever Mia was would know enough to get the package left for her.
Upon arriving back at the AKL room the following day there it was the same message. Well, this time I thought I had better let them know at the front desk that the gift shop keeps calling the wrong room. While doing so my sister was busy looking for an item she had purchased for my brother the day before. A Goofy Chef's hat, great for the barbequer in the family. She was turning the room upside down and inside out looking for it. In the meantime I decided to go down to the giftshop and let them know about their mistake. Politely I told the CM at the cashiers desk my delema and she looked my name up, which I might add was misspelled and said she would look into it.
A couple of hours went by, my sister was still frantically looking for the chef's hat. What Could Have Happened to It? How would I know, I asked? The telephone rang and it was for me. It was the Zawadi Marketplace asking for me. The nice CM on the other end told me that indeed I did have a purchase in the gift shop and I needed to pick it up. I asked what could it be? I had already picked up the AAA gift that came with the trip. So she told me inside of the bag were 2 pizza cutters and a Goofy Chef's Hat!
The day before my sister and I had purchased these items while we were at Downtown Disney shopping and had taken advantage of the hotel delivery service. We had totally spaced out that we had told the CM in the Downtown Disney store to have it delivered.
I learned something- that Mia at the AKL means hello!
Anyway my sister and I had our laugh and so I think did the rest of the staff at the Zawadi Marketplace.The young man who handed me the package asked if I was sure it was mine?
