Never too old or too young!! That is the beauty of Disney!!

Is it crowded? LIke more than the usual DCA crowd? Are the rides still open? will the food "stations" still be opened? should i eat before? Are halloween items on sale? Anything extra special? how long is the wait to take pictures? I am goign to dress up like a pirate... pirate: Adults get candy too right? how much candy? should i bring a trick or treat bag? OMG i am soooo excited!!! :jumping1: i might pee my pants!!!!

I'm in the same boat. Going (solo) on Halloween night and have no idea what to expect.

No, it's not crowded - lines for the attractions are pretty short, though the wait for Soarin' is still at least 20 minutes.

Are the rides still open?
Most attractions are open, except for Grizzly River. In the past none of the shows have been running except for Turtle Talk - seems to me they should do Golden Screams, though!

will the food "stations" still be opened? should i eat before?
Some food locations will be open, but to maximize your "party time" I would recommend eating before - besides, you'll have lots of candy to snack on. :-)

Are halloween items on sale? Anything extra special?
Some of the shops are open, like Greetings from California. There's the usual Halloween merchandise for sale, and last year there was some special merchandise (t-shirts, pins, keychains, etc.) that was out only during the Halloween parties.

Depends on the character...the lines for Mickey and Minnie and the princesses were pretty long, but there were a lot of characters walking around that you could just walk up to, and the lines for the villains were fairly short.

Adults get candy too right? how much candy? should i bring a trick or treat bag?
Yes, adults get candy, too. :-) As for how much...depends on how many treat stations you visit! And typically the CMs get more generous as the night goes on. The last two years they've handed you a trick-or-treat bag as you walk in the gate, so I would expect them to do the same this year.

Have a great time!

:jumping1: Thank you for all the good info!!! I am soo excited!!!I ust can't wait...

I wish I could go to MHT... but it isn't going on any nights we are there! BOO!!!!!!!

You guys are so funny! :rotfl:

I've heard the treat bags they give are pretty flimsy and break easily, so I'm bringing 2 bags from home for my boys. Rumor has it it's not cheapie candy, either, it includes lots of chocolate!

Might have to bring a 3rd bag for Mama... :teeth:

Well...it includes *some* chocolate. The first year there was quite a bit of chocolate - but last year I got more Laffy Taffy and Smarties and stuff like that than Snickers or Twix. I'm going this Friday...we'll see what it's like this year!

Ahhhh. Good thing I like Smarties. ;)

Scooter, we'll be there this Friday also ~ Maybe we'll see you there!

So it's like your normal Halloween candy? Bummer. The way everyone was talkin' about good chocolate, I was hoping it was Disney candy.

No, it's not Disney chocolate. Last year they had "body part" candies, though - the ones that are wrapped in foil to look like eyeballs or other body parts. I think those are chocolate, but not *good* chocolate. I'd rather have the Snickers and Twix and Milky Ways and things like that! We're going tonight, so guess I'll soon know what they are offering this year! :-)

pirate: All I can say is they better have CANDY! No more healthy fruit sancks for me! I don't have "scurvy!" Need sugar, chocolate, and other tender Halloween morsels......Mah Se Koh!!!;)

Just went last night... had a great time. Candy is different from past years BUT there is some chocolate. It is mixed in with the Starbursts, hard candy, tootsie rolls, suckers and lemon balls. Then in many stations they are giving away small boxes of raisens. Others are givig small bags of carrots and then others small bags of apple slices...... :rolleyes1 I guess for some parents this is a better option but my kids wanted chocolate. Many Cast Members were great though. I wanted one or two pieces of a specific piece of chocolate (Snickers, Twix, Butterfingers etc) and they allowed me to either pick a couple pieces or they gave them to me. In a few other areas there are full size bags of KISSES (like M&M'S) FULL size bags......
It wa fun... but I know what you mean about the chocolate.

I am going to MHT tonight ! :cool1: I am soo excited:woohoo: I can't wait. i will write a t.r. as soon as I can. I will take as many pictures as possible. I am really looking forward to it!!! YAY!!!
