We're in Building 4625 right now. Friday afternoon as we returned to the room, a CM was just leaving. He was dropping off MH notices. Here's the notice:

[on Member Homecoming letterhead!]

Welcome to the Disney Vacation Club Member Homecoming!

We're just thrilled that you've joined us here at the Walt Disney World Resort to celebrate with your fellow Members.

We've been eagerly preparing for your stay here with us!

On Monday, May 24th, please visit the Disney Vacation Club "Members Club House" located in the lobby of your resort between the hours of 9:00 am and 9:00 pm to receive your Member Homecoming lanyards (which will hold your "Ticket to Magic" credentials).

We look forward to starting your Member Homecoming week in a most magical way!

Your Disney Vacation Club Family

We've been "pumping" DVC CMs for info, but no luck so far... ;)

yeppi, another lanyard, i wonder if we get a pin or 2 with the lanyard:fish:
keep the info coming.........

I wonder if you can get the lanyard if you aren't paying for the MH tickets? I just couldn't shell out more $$ for the tickets.

Good luck with your gifts....can't wait to hear what they are...:sunny:

Hi Mark here, We're settled in our room at OKW. I'll comment on the room itself later.

About the packet we were given at the front desk when we checked in..

There's a bunch of sheets in it, but the most important to us is the top sheet, which Peter did not quote from.

Beginning on Monday evening, May 24th, your family will recieve an itinerary, event guide and a few special surprises in your room to prepare you for the event the next day. Be sure to consult each itinerary and event guide for important details like transportation to and from the event, event start times and activites you can expect to find.

I would take this as a) there will be some pleasant surprises, and b)they will remain surprises until the day of the event.

* On Tue May 25th the adventure begins with the Light of the Sky Celebration at Epcot at 8:30 pm. Expect a grand welcome at the main entrance for your party under the stars as we kick off Member Homecoming!

* Next Members will rule the kingdom in A Night of Wishes Come True at the Magic Kingdom Park on Wednesday, May 26th. You'll be treated like princes and princessesas we begin a royal celebration at 8:30

* Finally, at "The Grandest Opening of Them All" on May 27th, you'll witness DVC history as we welcome Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa to the community at 10:00 am. This it followed by an amazing day where we'll treat you to a "Taste of Downtown Disney" and a classic Founders Day Celebration at the resort.

This sounds soo cool! Now has anyone been to a 'Taste of(insert your city here)' food fest? the third day's event sounds kind of like that to me.

I'll take pics and post more info as there is more in the packet in the morning, as we just finished a 14 hour drive to here and I'm beat. Nite all :)

We are here.We checked into OKW around 7. We are in building 35. Nothing more to add,we received the packet when we check in. We are excited about member homecoming and celebrating ds 3rd birthday on Monday.

Thanks for checking in!! Sounds really great and I can't wait to be there Monday morning!!!:Pinkbounc

At first I was bummed that you were going to ruin the surprise for those of us still at home. But now I feel more excited than ever... your details make it all more REAL!!! Our plane doesn't arrive until almost 9 Monday night. Bummer.....

What's the weather like?? Nights?? Do we need pants and sweatshirts for the late nights out?? Any suggestions for how to dress an infant?? Thanks!!!

Last night's 7 day forecast was for days in the low 90s, nights in the high 60s, partly cloudy. It's very hot and humid here, moreso than most Mays that we've been here.

Mark, thanks for the details from the packet. We did not receive a MH packet when we checked in, so I assume we'll get ours tomorrow when we pick up our lanyard. If not, now we know to ask!

OMG ! thanks for the info now im:hyper: :hyper: :hyper: :hyper: :hyper: :hyper: :hyper: :hyper:

i cant wait to be there tomorrow morning, i know i wont sleep all night :hyper: :hyper: :hyper: :hyper: :hyper: :hyper: :hyper:

Thanks for the reports!! :hyper: We leave cold & rainy Wisconsin at 5:30 am tomorrow. Better go get packing.....although I'm sure I'll be back at the computer & checking in to see if there is any more news.

Nancy :earsgirl: :bounce:

We picked up our lanyards today and they are really cool. They are the bolo tie type much like what we had for the Member cruise. A huge oval medallian on the front with the Member Homecoming logo on it. The upper portion is translucent and has stars on it. Very cool indeed. Nice quality.

Really looking forward to seeing everyone tomorrow!

As for the weather - HOT! HOT! HOT!

Clear, sunny and 90's scheduled for every day.

Magic Kingdom was very crowded this afternoon.

Would any of you fine folks already on site post that information when it becomes available? I'm driving down *just* in time for the Tuesday Epcot event, and not staying at a DVC resort (Coronado.)... I'd love to know where to go. :) (And do I just hand that squarish ticket to magic to the people at the event, or do I have to trade it in for a ticket, or...?)

Thanks a bunch, and see you all there!

Hi, MarkRG posting again.

I don't know how they're handling offsite, but if you're on Disney property, you should get all your MH stuff at checkin.

We havn't got the itinerary for tomorrow yet, but I'll be happy to answer questions, if I can :) Was planning on posting info when I have some new.

The 'Ticket to Magic' plastic card IS your ticket. The lanyard provided at WDW has a holder for it. It is a credential, valid for all the nights of fun.
