Is there a boat which connects MGM to EPCOT? If so, where does the boat leave from MGM side and how long is the ride?

Thanks in advance.

You can take a Friendship boat from MGM to Epcot. As you are leaving MGM the dock is to the left of the entrance. It is a nice, leisurely ride--like 15-20 minutes.

You can catch the boat from the left side of the MGM exit. The boat ride is approx 25-30 minutes. It goes from MGM to Swan and Dolphin, then to Boardwalk, Yacht and Beach and then to Epcot.
I prefer to walk from MGM to Epcot. To do that stay to the right after you exit MGM. Look for the path that runs along side of the canal. That will take you over to the Boardwalk resort. Walk along the boardwalk, stop and grab a soda if you are parched and walk over to the International gateway to Epcot. The walk is nice and I always beat the boat to Epcot. Peggie

I would agree that a walk would be quicker. If you're not too tired, take your time walking along the Boardwalk. It's very pleasant and just as quick.

Two weeks ago, we walked and took the boat. I prefer walking. The boats were supposed to be air conditioned, but twice it was so hot on the boat that I would have rather have been walking in the hot sun. Now we did have to sit toward the back because of the stroller we had, so that may have made a difference.

How long is the walk from MGM to Epcot?

i too love the walk! it takes about 20 minutes of semi-brisk walking which at times can be faster than the boat, especially if you "just" missed it!

20 minutes doesn't seem too bad at all :p I've taken the boat a couple of times and it always feels like I can walk faster than the boat *lol*

I like the short boat ride to Epcot. I guess I've been lucky because the AC was always woring on the boats. I liked being able to cool off.

My wife with her parents and I with our kids raced a couple of years ago, she on the boat and me walking back to the Boardwalk. We both left at the same time and I was in our room as she came walking down the Boardwalk. Come to find out she got off the boat at the Swan to save time. Since then we never ride the boat to MGM we always walk.

By the way she didn't have to wait for the boat it was already docked at MGM unloading other passengers.
