We leave next Friday for DW    and I thought we had our agenda set. Then hubby just let me know a few people have told him they didnt think MGM would be exciting enough for our boys. What's been your experience?

Thanks!

We took my DS to MGM the first time when he was 6. He loves it there. He is 9 now but the last time we went he was still 8. He loves RR and enjoyed most everything else. He isn't a Muppets fan or Playtime Disney fan but he enjoyed the shows anyway. You kids might like those. He thought the back lot tour was great, but that Indiana Jones was too long. And Fantasmic is Awesome!!!

You might not spend a 12 hours day there... but I wouldn't skip it!

I had one of those misty-eyed moments at MGM with DS5. I think it is the psefect age! He was tall enough to ride ST and TT and loved them both. As he was skipping off of TT he looked at me and said "Mom, can we go to playhouse Disney now?!" It seemed he was the right age for just about everything, a bit big kid, a bit preschooler!

Muppet fan or not - who doesn't love MV3D?? OK maybe I'm just crazy!

MGM is a great place, and FANTASMIC is not to be missed. If you have hopper passes, go there in the am one day, and see if he likes it, if not you can go to another park, but then go back to MGM for FANTASMIC in the evening you won't be sorry!

My son was 7 when we went in June. MGM Studios was his favorite park. Give it a try and see for yourself. It's not that hard to park hop if they don't like it.

My kids are 5 & 9 and love MGM. Make sure and catch the Stars & Cars Motor parade, it's great.

My nieces were 3 and 7 this year when they visited--they are still talking about it. If your boys love Star wars, make sure they ride Star Tours.

We found MuppetVision 4d to be one of the unexpected family highlights of our trip. The kids loved it and we did too.

There are a number of great rides depending on the adventure level your kids will tolerate.

My guess is they will LOVE MGM

I think there is a lot for boys of that age. Fantasmic, the Power Rangers, Lights Motor Action show, cool rides. My 6 year old son says it was his favorite park (after the MK< of course).

I think you are already sold on MGM, but I'd like to throw in the character angle. Disney Studios has characters you won't find in any other park including Buzz Lightyear and Chicken Little. If the kids are enthralled with the movies and are autograph hounds, this is not the park to miss. Actually if you had to miss a park I'd pick Gatorland.

I thought the "Playhouse Disney" attrraction was a major draw for parents with children that age. There's also the muppet show and many other attractions. Hit the "Playhouse Disney" show first. It's the one for kids that age, and if you miss it your eldest will be too old to enjoy it soon.

Don't forget the 'Honey I Shrunk the Kids' playground at MGM too! A great place for two active kids to burn off some energy.

Indiana Jones was a hands-down favorite for my 9 y.o. boy, and I know he would have liked it when he was younger, too. He even bought the Indian Jones Mickey. :earsboy: It is a long show, but it's action packed.

Muppets was another favorite, as well as Fantasmic.

The Honey I Shrunk the Audience playset was fun. We went there twice to let the kids run around and unwind. They loved that place! It was good downtime from shows/waiting in line, and provided some fun photo opportunities.

We did not have to chance to see Lights, Motor, Action, but that looks like something boys would enjoy too.

I have 4 boys ages 6-11 and this was definitely one of their favorite parks. All LOVED the Indiana Jones show and the new Car stunt show. 3 of them loved the R&R coaster and the Tower of terror. The other one is a little fearful of rides as fast as that..but did go on them twice.

Oh they also loved the backlot tour, Star Tours, Millionaire. They liked Fantasmic..but not as much as INdiana Jones and the car show.

We ate at Primetime Cafe...they loved that.

We went twice and may possibly go again today.

I wouldn't miss it :-))
