MGM fireworks

We've been to WDW but never visited the MGM park. From my understanding, Fantasmic is a show that you see from inside the park at the ampitheater.

Is there a separate fireworks show? If so, when are they & where is the best place to view the fireworks?

Nope, no fireworks show at MGM except for what they have during Fantasmic. But Fantasmic isn't a fireworks show - it uses fireworks as part of the show. Oh, and MAKE SURE you don't miss out on Fantasmic. Arguably the best attraction/show WDW has.

They do have fireworks for special occassions like NYE and July 4th though.

They use to a long time ago before fantasmic and before the hat

Originaly the hat was going to be an intericle part of a planed closing show. this is why it has all the spot lights and all the theaterical lights you see around it that are never used. It was going to be a light show. with fire works. But it never happend.

Fantasmic is by far and away the best WDW has to offer..its a do not miss at all costs....make sure and get there at least 40 minutes early...it fills up fast...have fun...
