MGM counter service

I know there's not a really good answer to this, but if you had to grab a quick bite for lunch at an MGM counter service, which one would it be?

We'll be at MGM for the day, and we're having an early dinner at 50's Prime Time, so we really don't want a sit-down lunch. I had thought about heading over to the Boardwalk area, but I really can't see leaving the park for that long just to get a quick bite. Since we'll be having a large dinner, something like burgers, sandwiches or salads would be fine. I've never had counter service at MGM though. Where would you suggest?

enjoyed the ABC for a quick bite. They have a good Cuban sandwish and a very good Middle-Eastern wrap.

Enjoy!

Thanks Kapp! Those both actually sound really good. I'm pleasantly surprised. :D

There's also Backlot Express for your typical hamburger/hotdog cuisine.

Another choice would be Pizza Planet. I am a huge pizza fan, but do not particularly care for this place. It always seems very busy, and it is a big hit with the little ones!!!

The Commissionary (ABC) has some different and unique choices for a counter service restaurant. We've always foudn the food there to be quite reasonable.

And as a last resort, there are several "quick carts" with foods like eggs rolls and the like if you want something even lighter.

Enjoy your trip!

I'm not sure what the food court area is called, but there's one just across from the Beauty and the Beast stage show / near Rock N Roller and Tower of Terror. Everything I've ever gotten there has been good for counter service, and there's a very big selection for counter service.

Thanks everyone for some great suggestions! :D It sounds like we'll have more choices for just a quick bite to tide us over than I thought we would.

I really liked the ABC Commissary as well-- their menu choices were a little more interesting than your average food service, and the setting is really nice, spacious and attractive.

That said, we end up at the Sunshine Food Fair a lot, just because somehow we're in that "neighborhood" when we get hungry. When I'm there I usually mix and match-- getting my fries from Micky D's (Fairfax) and then either a hamburger from Rosies or a hot dog from Toluca. It's all very average and unremarkable and if you're looking for air conditioning this isn't the place, but it's fine if you're at that part of the park.

I've enjoyed ABC Commissary a couple times, but I especially enjoyed the Backlot Express on my last trip. The seating area seemed a little more peaceful or something. (Or maybe I just hit it at a lucky time. :D ) I don't think you'll have any trouble finding burgers or sandwiches at MGM. Good luck!
