mgm cars parade timing question

We have early dinner reservations at Mama Melrose for 3:40pm. What I am trying to find out is if we have time to go to the parade that starts at 3:00 and make it to dinner on time. I figure we should watch from where it starts which I need to research to find out. Does anyone know how far away that would be from the restaurant and how long I should allow to get from the parade starting point to the restaurant? THANKS!

You should be fine. The parade starts near Star Tours, and Mama Melrose is not that long of a walk from there.


Look at this map - the red dots are the parade route - "D" near Al's Toy Barn is Mama Melrose.

Unless you have any mobility issues, if you watch the parade near Star Tours (the beginning) you will need no more than 10 minutes and that is giving you quite a bit of time and expecting to deal with many crowds. If you are just walking the distance is less than a 1/4 mile.

I think you will be ok if you are at the front of the parade. They will ususally will hold your res for 10 mon if you are runnng late
