MGM Backlot tour ??

We leave in a few days and my DH has a question about the backlot tour at MGM.....How do you get to be in the "movie"?

My parents and brother and sister were in the movie. They lucked out! They didn't ask, just happened to be in the right place at the right time.
But a poster on another thread who is a CM said that you should ask if you want to be a part of the rides/shows and they try to accomodate.

Be aware that the Backlot Tour will be closed January 4 to April 1.

What "movie" are you refering to?

That stinks that it will be closed. I planned on going on our trip in January. Last time I checked it wasnt in the rehab. Thanks for the heads up.

The "movie" is the first part of the tour with the PT Boat naval attack scene - they select/pick/choose people from the lines to be in the show!

IMO, I'd just ask the CMs. We've had people from our party participate twice, and both times it seemed to happen because we just missed getting into a show and were the first in line for the next show.

I don't think they're really looking for people that fit certain criteria. If they are already letting people into the theater for one performance, ask if you would be able to participate in the next one if you wait. I can't see any reason why they would decline.
