Do you actually get wet on this ride? Do I need to prepare for that? We are going in a week or so, and if is going to be cool I want to know if I'm going to get wet. Brrr....nothing worse than being cold and wet. :umbrella:

Volunteer to be part of the show. You'll stay nice and dry!!! :rotfl:

OOOO- that is soo wrong! Funny, but wrong!!! :rotfl2:

No, you don't get wet- they do a volunteer thing that the volunteers act out a fight scene with water......

Then you get on a tram and see nice special effects. If you are sitting on the left of the tram, you may get a bit sprayed, but not really wet. They make you think you are going to, but you will be fine. It's fun...

You get wet just a bit..but its not that much that you would need an umbrella....and you can tell when its coming too....

We did this last Saturday when it was 28 degrees in Orlando. No worries - your face might be misted if you're on the left but you won't get wet.

SPOILER FOR TOUR.....

DD, my sister and I were volunteers for the walkthru/wettank part of this tour. Never again! We had to wear blue slickers and boots that smelled very sour. We had to run around like idiots acting as if we were being attacked by enemy aircraft. While we were doing this, water cannons were causing water to splash on us. DD had to pretend she was driving a PT boat. That wouldn't have been bad, but there was a nest of bees where she had to stand. She hates bees!

Actually, it was kind of fun. The bad part is that we didn't get to see ourselves on the tape. Once it plays for the audience, it is immediately erased. It would have been fun to see. We were very lucky compared to this other poor guy they chose as a volunteer. He got a ton of water poured over him.

My DH was picked as a volunteer for that same show about 15 years ago. He thought it was a hoot and I took a ton of pics! We look at the album of that vacation more than any other.

You can sprayed a bit, but nothing major. Nothing like Splash Mountain or anything like that.

I was the lucky "mechanic" that got the 1000 gallons of water dumped on me.
