Mexican Riviera Cruise with WONDERful Souvenir in the Works! 6/7 PTR Link!

Like I was telling Pam, i'm STILL SICK! I really thought I was getting better, but it just got worse. I lost my voice and can't really talk and have been running a fever.

Now, i'm just waiting for DH to get it, so it can be over and done with. I'm hoping it will all be out of our system in time for the cruise. :sad2:

I'm sorry I haven't updated, but on Friday I was busy all day cooking a Thanksgiving Leftover Dinner for my family, and Saturday I took down all the Harvest decorations and put a lot of the Christmas decorations up. I've also been resting in between, trying to get better. I plan to update tomorrow at work, so stick around!

Be smart. Go to the doctors. we have been chasing a cold around for a couple of weeks. Finally Jackson has new medicine that seems to be working, Heather is going tomorrow and if I don't feel completely well by thursday I will be visiting the doc again. I am so afraid that we will be sick for the cruise.

So sorry you're feeling sick. It's awful to feel sick around the holidays.

You're getting so close to your trip not next weekend, but the following! Wow!

Hey we plan on sleeping in Tulare the night you get back from your trip. Not that I would think you want to meet up on such a night, but arming you with that information. We will drive up the afternoon of the 18th and go back home on the 19th, We're taking Arline to Las Vegas for Christmas with us, so that's the best night for us to pick her up and give us some down time before driving to Vegas. We'll also be back the following week to take her home after we come back from Vegas before we spend NYE at DL!

I'm so sorry you're still sick!!! Mine is still sticking around, but definitely not as bad as yours. I'm shocked that you were still able to put up decorations! I really wanted to, but just couldn't do it.

And you still haven't told us what the puppy's name is... Pretty please I'd like to know the winner :)

Hooray for vacation!!!! Less than two weeks to go!

If DH does get sick, he'd probably best go to the doctor for some antibiotics, but your system should be in full swing of fighting those nasty germs.

Hi there!! :goodvibes I followed over from you posting on my TR!! I also quickly looked over your last cruise TR - I am getting so excited about going on my first DCL cruise next year :cool1:

I am enjoying catching up on your PTR and hearing about your adventures between cruises. I loved the report on NE, I am from Massachusetts originally and miss it a lot (though not the weather :rotfl:)

Also I have never been to Disneyland, so I LOVE to hear about that!! Plus your cruise is coming up so soon :thumbsup2 and by the way you guys are such a cute couple!!

I hope you start to feel better soon. Love the update. Your drink looked awesome. :thumbsup2

I'm thinking I will go by Thursday if i'm not completely well. I know that they're pretty strict about letting you on the ship if you're sick. In fact, when my brother went on his cruise, he put down that he had a little cough (he's VERY forthcoming with his information and he wasn't even sick) and they pulled him over to the side and got him checked out and went through an entire process before boarding him.

So sorry you're feeling sick. It's awful to feel sick around the holidays.

Okay thanks for the info! I know that Sunday when we return we'll be busy with just unpacking, laundry, etc. Also we're picking up our puppy that day. But depending on what your schedule looks like when you get back from Vegas, maybe we could meet up??

Luckily for me, I don't have too much decorations, though I am slowly starting to build a collection. It literally only took me an hour if that, but that wiped me out.

:lmao: We're still deciding about the name. My mom brought up a great name while we were at Disneyland, and we never even thought about it before: Beaker. From the Muppets! And the funny thing is, is that DH calls me Beaker sometimes! :rotfl: So now it's between Bowler, Beaker, or Bullseye. We were supposed to get him last week, but i'm thinking it may not be till next week or the day we come home from our trip.

Hey Shannon!:)

You are going to have SO much fun on the cruise! That's why we ended up booking another one. DH loved it so much, he inquired about another one while on the ship! Have you decided where you're going yet? The Bahamas or the Caribbean?

You definitely need to come out here one day and visit Disneyland. Of course it's way smaller than WDW, but it's so charming. :wizard:

I hope you start to feel better soon. Love the update. Your drink looked awesome. :thumbsup2

Thanks Gina, i'm feeling a little better right now. I'm surprised i'm up! I've been going to sleep early the past few nights.

The drink was really good! I think next time we'll get our own, or we'll share one and get another drink afterwards.

I forgot to reset my alarm clocks the night before, so I woke up at 5:15am and couldn’t get back to sleep. So I decided to try and lose some calories, so I could eat a ton later and got dressed to head to the Fitness Center.

The fitness center is very nice and pretty large! (these are a bit blurry because I was on the elliptical)

I ended up working out for about an hour, knowing we weren’t going to be using the Magic Morning today. By the time I went back up to the room, my DB and Dsil were already dressed and getting ready to head out to the park.

I started the coffee, took a shower and got dressed and worked on waking up DH. Mom was up getting ready for the day. We ended up leaving the room around 9:15 and headed straight to get fastpasses at Star Tours. DH and I were super stoked on riding the new version!

Our first official ride of the trip was:

I absolutely LOVE the Holiday Overlay of this ride. It’s so on point with the movie, it’s incredible.

We called my DB and the four of them met up with us to ride Splash Mountain with NO wait! We walked straight through the queue and onto the boat.

We took a few pictures at the exit at Pooh’s Corner, before riding Winnie the Pooh.

After Winnie the Pooh we started walking towards Fantasyland, but look who we saw!

You have NO idea how excited I was to see him! I nearly fainted! I had never seen him before and I knew I had to get a picture with him, but the line was so long. We stood there listening to him interacting with people, and he sounded so much like Jack from the movie, it was incredible! I told my family, I’ll catch him later on during the trip.

Some more pictures of the Christmas decor our way to Fantasyland:

(hmm, not sure what's going on here :lmao:)

And our first and only ride in Fantasyland was:

The line wasn’t too bad for it being later in the morning, around 20 minutes. Mom rode with DH, and I rode with DB on this ride. Oh forgot to mention, I’m not sure what Dsil and her parents are doing right now :confused3

Next up: Lunch time!

I love how you exercise when you are on vacation. :) When we went on the Wonder last summer I swore the whole time before and while we were on the trip that I was going to hit the gym and it never happened. :confused3 I workout like a crazy person before but its like once I am officially on vacation it stops, which isn't good since I eat so much on vacation...haha Now I am thinking how I need to join a gym again and I need to work out...LOL

I hope you got a picture later on with Jack. That sucks that the line was so long. I love the Christmas decorations!!! I can't wait to see your pictures from the Wonder because that is going to be decorated so much for Christmas. That is one of my and DH goals is to go to Disney World and Disney Cruise during Christmas time to see all the decorations and see Mickeys Very Merry Christmas. I saw a Disney Christmas cd in Costco the other morning and told DH we have to go back and get it so we can listen to it while we decorate this week. Ok so now I am rambling. Great update. :)

We are doing the Caribbean, Eastern part, so it includes St Thomas, St Maarten, and Castaway Cay and we are sailing on the Fantasy :thumbsup2

I would love to see Disneyland one day, where it all started!!

I LOVE all of the holiday decorations, that is awesome!! I also would love to see Mr Toads Wild Ride, I remember that one from WDW when I was younger!!

All the decorations look so beautiful!!! I didn't know DL still has Mr. Toad's Wild Ride. I loved that ride before they took it out of DW. And you still have 20,000 Leagues under the Sea right? I MUST get out there and see DL!

That's probably a good idea if you wait until after the trip to pick up the puppy, that way you're not worried about him the whole time. Well, that's how I would be anyway.

I do hope you were able to meet Jack later on in the trip. I didn't even know they had a costume for him, never heard about that before.

That CM did look like she was enjoying the view :rolleyes1

11 More Days!!! :cool1::banana::cool1:

I get really guilty sometimes about eating/working out, and I feel a little bit better about myself if I get a workout in, even if it's only 30 minutes on the treadmill or elliptical. Hey, that's 300 calories right?! I can drink about half of a Bahama Mama and not feel bad about it! :rotfl:

Not too long ago, I actually realized that they were going to decorate on the ship! And DH is the one that brought it up! For some reason I wasn't even thinking about them decorating for the holidays so now i'm even more excited about going!

Not sure if you know about this already, but have you ever been to Live365.com? It's a music streaming website that I always go to at work and you type in Disney in the search and it will bring up about 20-30 stations that play only Disney music. Some stations play the theme music when you're walking around the parks, other stations play music from the rides, and some stations are music from the movies. Not sure if there is a Christmas Disney station, but i'll search for that.

When we were first looking at cruises for December, we were looking at the Western Caribbean because DH was really wanting to visit the Grand Cayman and I really wanted to see St. Thomas. Good thing we both agreed on Mexico!

I totally forgot about WDW having Mr. Toads! Have you ever seen Mr. Toad in the Winnie the Pooh ride?!

20,000 LUtS is the Submarine ride, right? That is now Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage which is really cute. However, the ride itself is a little tight, so if you're okay with tight spaces you'll do fine.

We found out that Jack and Sally have only been around for about 3 or 4 years, so he's still fairly new to the park but man, he's amazing!

I KNOW!! I CANNOT believe our trips are coming up so quickly! Are you getting excited?! :woohoo:

Yep, the submarine ride. Too cute that it now has a Nemo theme. I can distinctly remember going on that ride when I was 6, but the next time we went it was gone. I thought it was so cool!

I remember reading that they left a momento of Mr. Toad in Pooh's ride, but I can never remember to look at the end of the ride, there's just so much to see I totally forget.

I am SO EXCITED!!!!! I never actually pack until the night before, but I've been gathering. I just can't wait to see all the Christmas decorations, and I can't imagine how beautiful they make the ship. You're going to take lots of pictures right?

They talked about this at the Destination D event. There are three "shout outs" to Mr. Toad in MK. I think the thing in the Pooh ride is a picture of him with owl, and it has something to do with the deed to one of their houses. There is another something in the MM meet and greet near town square, and I'm sure most people know about his statue in the HM pet cemetary.

Oooo I didn't know about the Live365.com. I am definitely going to check it out. Thanks.

This is yet another reason I love Disney. They have details when they're just plain extra. It is so cute to see people enjoying their jobs!

I'm going to have to figure out the one near town square. I received a book a couple years ago called 'The Hidden Magic of Walt Disney World' and it was so much fun finding all the little things around the parks.

I went and looked it up. I'm glad I did because you never would have found it, very obscure!
