Mexican Riviera Cruise with WONDERful Souvenir in the Works! 6/7 PTR Link!

CONGRATS!!! So happy and excited for you two! :thumbsup2 :goodvibes I wondered when you posted you were sick since pregnancy weakens your immune system. Get lots of rest, your makin' a baby! :goodvibes I heard the exhaustion on the body is comparable to climbing a mountain. Get ready for the ride of your life! Pregnancy is so amazing and I wish you the best experience :)
I LOVE LOVE the gender reveal :) I surprised DH (and the whole family) for christmas. A few days prior to christmas I went and got a gender ultrasound, but told the tech when she figured out the gender to let me know so I could turn around and she could post it in the video. I went home and wrapped it up for christmas :) He was SHOCKED :scared1: that he was about to learn the sex on christmas day. We all watched the video together to find out what we were having :)
Nope you weren't preggers yet, so you HAVE to have a babymoon now LOL :rotfl: It WOULD be a relaxing vacy though! I know you can't fly past 32 weeks and you can't sail after a certain point (but IDK what that one is). If you have any questions feel free to ask! Now we are all going to be curious about your preggo journey! Are you going to do a pregnancy report? LOL maybe you should start a blog :)

p.s. can't wait to hear your next TR update :)

Congratulations, Alicia!!! I'm so happy for you!! I've had so much fun reading your TR, and this just made it 10 bazillion times better! :goodvibes So happy for you and your husband! Hoping that all goes well! :wizard:

P.S. Whereabouts will you be in PA in June? You can PM me if you'd like.. I live in PA, that's why I ask (:

Congrats! :cheer2:

This is going to be a very special time in your life that you will never forget! Your going to feel like its taking forever but after you have it, you'll look back and say, that time flew past! lol You are only going to get more tired! I remember when I was in my first trimester and being in the the break room at work, I felt so tired I had to close my eyes..I laid my head down on the table and the next thing I remember was waking up and it was an hour later!!!! I had never been so tired! I have quite a few Packer onsies I might have to send your way, at least I know they would get good use! :rotfl2:

Just found your trip report and wanted to join in on the congrats. I am 20 weeks pregnant with my first and also a DCL and Disneyland junkie! I already booked the 14 night Panama Canal cruise for May 2013 for me, DH and baby!

I love Disney Baby and I am always on their website. Also a fan of theirs on facebook..haha The tiredness is totally normal as you said. I remember going out to dinner with friends or having them over and I would be falling asleep. Good thing though it is gone in the 2nd trimester and you will get your energy back. :) Babymoons are the best. DH and I had one planned but had to cancel it because it was planned for when my dad passed away. We did say our cruise and going to Disney was our huge trip before the baby but of course planned another one because we did want one more vacation. We got pregnant like 2 months after our cruise. You should def. be able to visit your grandmother in June but like you said you should def. check with your doctor. Every doctor is different. My cousin flew to visit family for Thanksgiving and I think she was more than half way through the pregnancy. This is soooo exciting. I love talking babies and pregnancies...haha I usually do it with my cousin but she is due in a few weeks. She would call me up all the time asking questions...haha

Congratulations and best of luck to you!! I love the idea of the cake to announce what you're having!

Enjoying your TR, looking forward to hearing more, great pics!

Congratulations! I'm one of the many fans that has been reading and enjoying your TR. They take me to my "happy place" when desperately needed! Sending you and your husband wishes of good health and good memories during this happy time in your lives. :goodvibes

Just wanted to join in and say CONGRATULATIONS to you, Alicia, and your DH!!! So exciting! You and your DH are such an adorable couple and will have such an adorable baby!! I've been lurking around here for a couple of months trying to gather as much information as I can before my first Disney cruise this April to the Mexican Riviera. Thank you so much for your trip report...so helpful and super fun to read! I love all the pictures! I've been pretty much only reading MR trip reports but have been loving every update of yours that I had to read all your other trip reports! Now I feel the need to plan a Disneyworld trip with deluxe dining!! :) Anyway, take care of yourself and rest a lot (I remember I would be falling asleep at the dinner table when pregnant with my dd!), but don't forget to keep updating!

Thanks again for the Congratulations! I'm a little tired today. Even though I got 9 hours of sleep last night (not counting my 2 hour nap yesterday afternoon).

You guys have no idea how relieving it sounds that everyone gets tired in the first trimester. DH is really starting to get worried with how i've been lately. It's nice to know that everyone gets like this. I'll be sure to tell him to calm his nerves a bit.

Sica - not even kidding, I was thinking about doing some type of blog. One that I can look back on and treasure and send to family back East that would love to hear about everything. Plus, i'm not sure if I can have a blog like that here on the DIS so I'll look into making a separate blog and I'll post the link if I set it up! Thanks for the suggestion! :thumbsup2 Also, loved how you told your family! What a fantastic Christmas present!

iluvstitch - my family is in York. Well, technically Emigsville, but we say York because people are more familiar with York. It's so beautiful back there during the Summer! So green and gorgeous. Are you anywhere near York?

mnrhannah - we'll take your Packers Onesie anyday! :rotfl: Boy or girl, they'll be sporting that Packers gear. And SF Giants gear of course :thumbsup2

So as Sica mentioned, I think it's a great idea to start my own little blog. It would be a great diary for me and it's something that I could treasure for years to come, rather than writing it down. I really can't physically write because I have tendinitis and my writing becomes very sloppy after the first few minutes of holding a pen/pencil, so typing would be the best way. I was even thinking of monitoring how much I grow each week, how the Dr. appts, go, etc. If I did something like that, would you guys follow along? I'd obviously still be active on the DIS, but this sounds really nice and fun to do.

Let me know!

Congratulations Lesha! That is wonderful news and thank you for sharing it with us on here.

Hopefully the tiredness won't last too long, it didn't in my case :goodvibes

Aw, your DH is sweet! Definitely tell him not to worry, totally normal! I was exhausted (and so, so nauseous!) throughout my first trimester, felt amazing during my second trimester, and was exhausted again by third trimester (and beyond...). Such an exciting time though! I love the idea of your blog and would definitely follow it if you started one! For some odd reason, I love reading about pregnancy/babies/parenthood just as much as I love reading Disney trip reports!!!

Let me know!

I had a friend who had her baby the day after Thanksgiving a little over a year ago. She would post on Facebook things like, "I have a Cantoulope today", or "I have a pumpkin", by the time of her baby shower she almost had a beach ball! :lmao: She's petite like you so by that time she was waddling around and so ready to have the baby!

Take good care of yourself!

Congrats!!! How fun... the baby stage is great until about the teenage years. LOL... just kidding. My kiddos are great. Enjoy..

Hi Lesha! I'd follow! I did a little blog when I was preggers. It was fun! I didn't hold back so I think my family were a little shocked at times :rotfl: But when I go back and read it, its really amazing to recall all those funny, embarrassing, disgusting, precious moments. I also posted a picture each month to show my belly. At first I thought I'd do it every week but you don't see much of a difference! :lmao:

Everyone's right about the tired thing so no need to worry. Also, the "girls" were on FIRE (can I say that here :confused3 :rotfl:) and you may loose your appetite all together. Its normal to loose a little weight in your first tri but NEEDN'T FEAR! ALL that will go away and your appetite will come back with a VENGEANCE!

Love hearing about all the baby stuff! :cutie:

I love the cake reveal idea. I'd hire someone only because your SIL might burst knowing something nobody else does. Or maybe that's what I'd do. Haha!

I'd definitely follow your pregnancy blog. That would be wonderful to follow :)

I would follow along. I love seeing the stages everyone goes through. It is so much fun keeping track of everything when you are pregnant. Start taking belly pics now. :) It is so cool seeing how you change every month. I took a pre-pregnancy picture when we started to try and I look at that picture and one right before I had my daughter and it is just so weird/cool how their was a baby inside of me and my tiny body...haha You are going to love it. I am so excited for you.

Hi there again!! Yes, you can tell your DH that being tired in the beginning is completely normal. I found myself lying down on the couch and falling asleep instantly as soon as I would get home from work. It's also good that you're still getting exercise. Just don't push it too hard. Think the pace of a brisk walk for any cardio, don't do anything that really tests your balance (I found myself pretty clumsy when I was pregnant), and nothing while lying flat on your back. I used to do light cardio and very light weights (3 pounds) in the beginning. Then that changed to just cardio and some safe stretches, and finally I was just too exhausted to work out anymore...at about 6 months the first time, and about 4 months the second time (I had a 2-year-old to look after the second time).

Keep getting plenty of rest, keep thinking about how wonderful this is going to be for both of you, and enjoy the whole process. Every step is wonderful, from the time you find out you are pregnant, to that first sonogram photo, to finding out the sex, etc.

If you are having any morning sickness, saltines work wonders first thing in the morning before getting out of bed, ginger hard candies are great, ginger tea is terrific, and just eating small meals pretty frequently. I couldn't touch meat in the first trimester, both pregnancies. Sometimes you may have a complete aversion to foods you normally love, sometimes you will crave something you never really cared for...it all goes away though, I went right back to loving steak again! :rotfl2: If you are not feeling sick, that is great! Not everyone gets morning sickness. I felt a little queasy in the beginning, but nothing earth-shattering, and it didn't last that long at all.

Be well, dream about what the baby will look like (he/she will be beautiful, just like you and your hubby!), and keep smiling!! :)

Oh my gosh Alicia!!! Congratulations!!!! When I joined the DIS over a year ago your WDW TR was one of the first that I read and I feel like I have really gotten to know you through all your reports since then and I am just so so happy for you and DH and wish you a lifetime of happiness with your growing family!

iluvstitch - my family is in York. Well, technically Emigsville, but we say York because people are more familiar with York. It's so beautiful back there during the Summer! So green and gorgeous. Are you anywhere near York?

Yeah, we're just east of Lancaster, so I guess that's not too far off (I got directions on google maps, and it put it at like an hour and 5 minutes or so) It is always really pretty out here in the summer.. I guess I don't really think about it, because I've lived here my whole life (out in Amish country haha), so I just take it for granted.. but I can imagine that coming over here from the West coast would be really different :)

Also, I think the blog idea is really cute.. I would definitely read it! Good luck and can't wait to hear more! :goodvibes
