Mexican Riviera 2/27 - 3/6 - DisneyZell TR new 3/31: FINISHED!!!

Great beginning to your trip report! I'm really enjoying it. Keep up the good work!:thumbsup2

Can't wait to see pics of your Concierge room! If it isn't too much trouble, would you be able to post the Navigators from your trip. I want to check out the different kids activities and the daily spa specials! Keep up the good work on your TR. Looking forward to reading more. Many thanks.

One of your tips was to bring "scent thingys" for the bathroom. Are you talking about a spray can type? or plug in type? To tell you the truth, I've never used one even in my own home so if you can elaborate on the "scent thingys" so I will have a better idea what to look for. Thanks again.

You two crack me up!! It sounds like you enjoy yourselves- cruising or not!!
We were on the 2/6 MR... I'm too lazy to finish my trip report :)

I'd love to hear if you thought the concierge was worth the extra money, like what extras did you get that you wouldn't have received in a "regular" room?

I think these were made by glade, but they were not spray cans or plug ins (but you should find them in the same section as the plug ins). They are cone shaped and you can raise the cone from the base a little or a lot (depending on how bad the smell is). Inside the cone is a gel like substance that smells good (I think vanilla is the best, but that is just me). They just sit on the counter by the sink. Next time I go to the store, I will look to see exactly what they are called and will let you know. They are a life saver, esp in the smaller rooms.

DW here again...not to be nit picky or anything, but our upgrade was $1680, not $1700...that's a few drink of the days for those who are pinching their pennies. DH always rounds weird ways...he'll say something is $9.00 when it is $9.99...now to me that is $10, but I'll let that pass. In case you haven't figured it out yet, we can be very sarcastic...at least we do it in a loving way:lovestruc

One other thing about getting through security in LA...you take your embarkation picture BEFORE security. The boys and I had to wait outside of security for DH to get back from returning the car just so we could get our picture taken together. It sure would have been nice to be waiting in the concierge lounge instead of yelling at the 2 boys to stop hitting/chasing/bothering each other...sorry to anyone who witnessed that!

Seriously?

Yay, you made it on the boat!

Looking forward to more...

I wasn't sure I was going to the way I was writing. Thanks for sticking with me. :thumbsup2

Thank you, thank you :cool1:

ACK! sorry, I forgot to scan those, thanks for the reminder. I try to remember to post those each day...

I'm sorry. only one question per family per day. We are on a very strict budget here.

Oh wait, no I'm not. Dang, so your saying my distinct description of "scenty thingys" wasn't enough for you to visualize in your head what the heck I was talking about??? yeah...I hear you.

Here is the official Scenty Thingy website although I think there are other brands. do NOT buy the plug in kind...only a limited number of plugs and not sure you should have something like that on a ship. something about electic charge going all the time. probably wouldn't matter, but this is the old fashiond kind.

Thank you for playing, and for asking the question everyone else was thinking but was afraid to ask. :lmao:

You'd think so, wouldn't you. Actually I'm an abused DH...abused I tell you!

As far as being too lazy I'm dissapointed in you...I would never...not...well...ok, maybe my Christmas cruise was never finished. Nevermind.

I'd love to hear if you thought the concierge was worth the extra money, like what extras did you get that you wouldn't have received in a "regular" room?

No, No NO!!!! Do NOT tell me you just tried to get me to spill my guts about something that will be brought up in future installments. that's tricky...but I'm more awake than you would believe. Seriously, I'll definately weigh in on this...don't worry. :wizard:

FanTastic trip report! Can't wait for more.
Thanks :)

Thanks everyone for your kind words...I do really enjoy the interaction...it helps me along. When you start ignoring me the TR stops and I never start again (reference my comment earlier). :) Glad you are enjoying it and ask any questions...I might not answer right away (like the question above), but I'll make sure that it's in my posting at some point. :)

Night all!

This is DW now...I will make sure DH puts pictures in tomorrow...I don't know what he was thinking!

Fortunately, your DH has enough skill in his writing to hook an audience. Nice work! :thumbsup2

ACK! see, I KNEW at some point she would try to take over my TR. Keep an eye on her. :sail:

I promise I'll have pictures tomorrow. in fact there are alot. The first day I think I took around 50. While I cannot post all of them (they put a limit on this thing of like 12. I remember on the last TR it took me about 45 minutes to write my TR and 2 hours to figure out how to cut out the pictures and still tell my story. :rolleyes1 ), I'll try to post many.

OH, and I can't wait for you guys to see the princess pictures. Keep in mind that I only have boys. :lmao:

Thanks for the comments everyone, keep 'em comin!

:sail: Keeping an eye on your DW!! :-)
I can relate. When I've written TR's, it's so time consuming to pick just the right pictures. No worries. I have all the faith in ya!

Enjoying the report, but could you try to infuse a little humor into it? :rotfl:

At this point you all were texting me... I was picking up toothpaste at CVS and extremely jealous of you guys!!!!

You're hilarious. Thank you for the details on the "scenty thingys" - it's an air freshener. Okay, I know where to find them. Thanks for elaborating.

Great report so far, can't wait to read more....but it is a little dry....could you try to fix that? :rotfl2:

What a team you are....love the report. We go on the Wonder in a week and a half :dance3: and can't wait to read more.

I'll try. I have a very dry personality, though...so it will be difficult. Actually my bigger issue is that my material only lasts about a week...which is why DW no longer finds me as humerous as I used to be. :rotfl2:

See that's the thing...you can't pass go, you can't collect $200 (well, you can PAY $1,700...er..sorry, $1,680), you must go directly to the port! :)

Ah! Air Freshener. I do suppose that is a better, though not-as-much-fun-to-say, description than scenty thingy. I'm a firm believer that if you can't come up with the right word for something, make it up.

Kind of like all those crazy acronyms. I was reading a TR for the Disney Dream and the author kept referring to the QC area. Apparently there were problems with the design in the QC area. I have no idea what QC is. Quality Control? But I'm sure that can't be it because why would we care about the quality control area (well unless the quality stunk in which case I would suddenly care). So that's not it...so I can only figure it's a made up word which I don't know the meaning of. *sigh* someday I'll get it. really, I will!

Great report so far, can't wait to read more....but it is a little dry....could you try to fix that?

I gave you pictures of the water slide, the pool and the hot tub. ACK! are there areas more wet than that??? oh, the ocean. I think I have a sunrise picture over the ocean coming up, maybe that will help? :thumbsup2

What a team you are....love the report. We go on the Wonder in a week and a half and can't wait to read more.

We are a great team. Except I think I offended her yesterday. I got mad that she answered the question about the scenty thingy when I shouldn't have. so you all have to help me get her back on here to contribute. Sorry baby-cakes. :confused3 I'm not always the brightest. Well ok, most of the time I am

Next up: pictures of the Day 1 navigator by request....Thanks everyone! DZ

By popular request, here is the navigator. Hopefully you can see it in enough detail, if not I'll try to scan it bigger.

Enjoy...I'll try to post each day's before I start talking about it. No promises though..I'm a bit absent minded sometimes, so feel free to remind me!

And for those who can't read the navigator (too small), I just found a trick on the dis board for that...hit control and the + and it will make it bigger:thumbsup2 It is the little things that make me happy and since I am not as computer savy as DH, that makes me happy!

I am anxiously awaiting your review on the concierge suite. We have 8032 booked for next Feb and am dying to hear your take on it!!

QC=Quiet Cove (in other words, the adult pool area)
