Ha! apparently now I feel the same way! Actually, to be honest, prior to United and Continental merging I actually felt that Continental was a step above United (it used to be the other way around). But when the merger happened both airlines dropped tremendously. Frankly I think they have all the employees who have been around for 20 years and just don't give a darn anymore. Sad!

I made it all the way thru and I have laughed myself silly! We are doing our 1st 7 day on DCL to Alaska On May 31st, and this makes me ready to go even more... But I've got to get busy on the FE's and DM's (door magnets).

Well, I think I'll subscribe to your pre-trip report now... I need to keep up with some entertaining reading

However I was super sad to find out I'll have to wait until we can go concierge to take my little princess to the Tea...
I've been looking forward to that since last fall and we're more every other year cruisers, so it'll be a while.

Who knows...they may be test-driving it to begin with...so maybe they will open it up. Not likely I'll be concierge again anytime soon...so there you go!

I guess I'm resurrecting a semi-dead thread but I just had to express my appreciation for the TR. My wife and I are going on the MR cruise on January 15, 2012 and it's the first time we ever cruised. This was one of the most helpful TRs I've read and you got me really excited for mine!

Also it's good to hear that I'm not the only person who wants to do a pre-TR. I think it'll be my only outlet since my wife just laughs every time I bring up the cruise now.

We are going on the Magic to the MR in October, and I just found your trip report - so great!! I added a bunch of your tips to my packing list - so helpful! BUT I did spend 2 hours reading this instead of working - I feel slightly guilty, but not so much that I stopped reading at any point...I also hope many others read this and realize they too do not need to take up multiple deck chairs, especially when their children will spend the majority of their time by the pool in the pool (my favorite of your "rants")!

We are hoping to take our twins all the way over from Australia next year to do the MR and I have been combing these boards to find some info. Your TR is EXACTLY what I've been looking for, with a sparking wit to top it all off.

LOVED your trip report! We're doing the Mexican Riviera cruise in October, and this has gotten me even more excited, can't wait! I love the sombrero Mickey ears on your door and would love to use them, is there a template on the boards for them? I've looked but haven't found it.
