Is there a mexican food place that's like a cafeteria out in Adventure Land near Tom Sawyer's Island? I remember eating at a place like this years ago, when going to Disneyland.

The Mexican counter service restaurant, Rancho Del Zocalo, is next to Big Thunder Mountain. It has been called a number of things before that like Lawry's Casa Mexicana.

Now if you're talking in the 50's, Casa De Fritos was in New Orleans Square and then moved next to the Mine Train through Nature's Wonderland. Both of those are long gone though.

FWIW, Rancho Del Zocalo is pretty good. I'm a vegetarian and love their veggie tacos, which, I believe, are also gluten-free.

I think Rancho del Zocalo is pretty darn good...the portions are quite large though. You may want to split if you are not big eaters, or not super hungry. Made the mistake of getting a burrito for myself last trip, kept eating because it was delicious, and then felt WAY to full later! Lesson learned!!

Thank you for posting this, we love Mexican food and have not tried that restaurant.
