My husband and I looked up some of the Mexican ports yesterday on the US Government Travel Advisory website, is anyone concerned at all and changing their mind to stay on the boat at some stops? Concerned about the ports that have a level 3 warning, reconsider traveling there. Thank you!

When we did our Mexican DCL cruise back in 2011, DCL actually cancelled the Mazatlan stop a couple weeks before the cruise due to an increase in violence in that area. We did two days at Puerto Vallerta instead.

We did shore excursions both in Cabo san Lucas and Puerto Vallerta, but did the DCL ones and nothing on our own. We did ones where we were just take to and from a resort for the day, we didn't do any ones that involved any exploration.

Thank you! This year it is Puerto Vallarta with the concern :( I was thinking DCL would change ports, if it's bad in October. The other two mexican ports are just level two which doesn't really concern me

DCL will change the ports if they feel there is risk. We too had two days at Puerto Vallarta back in 2011.........

If you are worried, there are several excursions you can take you to private coves, etc where you should feel secluded and safe. We did las callitas (I think?) in puerto Vallarta and loved it
