Hey ladies, I just received an email about an incident at WalMart on Berhman Hwy. It's sounds like 6 guys walking in groups of two's, tried to surround a lady walking to her car at 2:00 in the afternoon. She panicked & ran back to the garden entrance. 2 of the guys ran & jumped into an SUV, picked up 2 more & the last 2 went running. Sounded like they were all walking from different directions, nonchalantly talking on cell phones.

Just another warning to be aware & careful no matter the time of day.

Kathy, We were going to go out to Bravo Saturday Night to celebrate DD's b-day. That might be a problem if there are lots of proms that night.


This came up on the WFDT, anyone ever buy or see Chutney on our "regular" grocery shelves?

I remember those days when our sons were in high school. Our daughter is 14 so we will start with the dances next year.

Lori, Chris is getting ready to start cleaning up a lot of stuff. And I know she has tons of scrapbooking stuff, I'll ask her if she's going to be getting rid of it. They are starting house-hunting. They live in Avondale & that area wasn't too great before the storm but has gotten much worse since. It's definiitely a buyers market right now, but of course they'll have to sell their house too.

Let me know ya'll. I think it'd be something I'd like, but it always seems geared toward peeps with kiddos- and well, that's not currently us. Although, here lately I've been in that "nesting" mode where I wonder.....

We are staying at All stars music.... which im not jacked up about , but I was trying to keep it cheap this time. Since we were there so long in Oct, and paid for dining we still dropped a load even with camping lol. Its only about 1,100 this time.. that is much less than we paid last time. HMM there is something to be said for free dining LOL!
If we can handle the heat in Sept and its not to crowded, next yr im thinking we will do a deluxe. I still def want to try and hit food and wine.though .. Wonder how much i can get with giving plasma LOL.. I hate putting stuff on credit cards!

This is the only spot on the Westbank I KNOW where it is! Did that MAKE SENSE?? I know where carol Sue and terry pkwy are-ha!! A good friend used to live in the sub by there.

BTW- making velvet shrimp tonight and having salad with my dressing again!!! Not sick of it yet.

It was very easy, and did make a lot. Some of the stuff, like molasses and mango, I had to buy. Most of the other stuff I had already. I hope it freezes okay-what do you think? I gave a bottle to a friend and if it doesn't freeze well, I will make it again one day and just give the extras as gifts-it made 5 -9 oz bottles plus a small margarine container full!

Is this Bravo Cucina? They're building a new one @ the Mall of LA (on Bluebonnet). I was wondering if it would be any good.

Regarding the chutney, did you see my note on the WFD thread? I looked at the jams / jellies / preserves aisle when I couldn't find the Major Grey chutney in its normal spot, but no luck. I didn't think to look in the condiments aisle, but I doubt they moved it there.

Kathy - Sr. prom weekend! Hope Kyle & the gang have fun & stay safe. I'm glad to know I'm still several years away from those bills. Guess I need to start saving now!
Fingers crossed for you on the Delgado recruiting. I'm sure he'd succeed anywhere, but it's comforting to know he might be able to stay so close to home for such a big transition.

Crazy busy here. Baseball for both DSs, end of school is DAYS away, considering relocation possibility for DH, and our Disney trip is in TWO WEEKS!!!! OMG - I'm so not prepared. Looks like I'll have to do a mock-packing this weekend to make sure everyone has what they need.

TGIF everyone! Hope the rain holds out for all headed to Jazz Fest & the other fairs this weekend.

I am a nervous wreck this morning. We have to travel to Morgan City for state playoff semi-finals this afternoon. Kyle is pitching, if we win we go to state in Shreveport next Thursday & Friday. I'm already ready to take a nerve pill.

Be careful heading to Morgan City. Wishing Kyle & the team lots of luck! A couple of local teams are still in it, but luckily they're not in the same classification as Shaw, so I won't have to choose allegiances!
