Hey y'all. I started feeling better and ran a few errands. Then whe I picked up Rie from school, she and a couple of friends wanted me to take them to Houma so they could eat at The Olive Garden. We just got back a few minutes ago.
I hope everyone else is doing OK.

If I still feel bad tomorrow, I'll go to the walk in clinic just to make sure that it isn't the flu. I have masks that I bought during the scare last spring and I will wear one to the doc's office if I have to go in to protect myself from the flu and to protect others if I do have the flu. Fingers crossed that it's just allergies.
Kat, I'm just about finished your planner!

I've been in a funk all day, it was a week ago today my girl passed. We're heading out to dinner to get our minds off it. Talk to y'all tomorrow.

Hi everybody!

Work is going well...I don't have the same kind of stories as before. Sorry!

The other day I got asked if I liked living in New Orleans and my first thought was "Hmm...that's kind of an odd question to ask somebody" until I realized that "oh yeah, I just moved here"!

I got my drivers license renewal paper in the mail for New York. It's $80! Add that to the list of Things I'm Happy About.

Also on The List: I'm still on the old school's email list. On Wednesday, the 16th, I got an email from them with the Goals paper. Every 6 weeks, we had to write short and long term goals in 7 subjects for each child in our class. Last year, we didn't start them until October. This year, they were due yesterday, the 17th - ONE DAY after they gave the form! And they didn't start school until last Wednesday- the goals were due only 7 school days after the kids showed up...along with one-on-one reading tests AND writing assessments! That school is just INSANE!!

We really enjoyed my niece Kaitlyn's show last night! For you North Shore gals, it was a fun show. A Doo-Wop to Disco Musical Revue at North Star Theatre. We were really impressed with Kaitlyn 16 (of course) the cast of 8 (mostly college age) were all really great!


Hope all is well with everyone & just having a fun filled Saturday!

What a good feeling it must be that you already feel so at home here.

Quiet day here. A quick run to the bank and grocery this morning and then catching up on a few tv shows (we love our DVR ). This evening we'll have the LSU game on.
Tomorrow - this is what I'll be doing, as well as watching the Saints game.

I took Anabelle to the vet this morning. It had to drop her off and then return later to get her. She just needed shots but since she reacts to the vaccines they kept her for supervision. While she was there we came home and moved some furniture around....good times I tell you. Then we went back to get her and then we came home and we both took naps and I think the dog did too.

As for why I haven't been posting as much...I feel like I don't have much to say. Work is fine, apartment is fine, family is fine, dog is fine, etc...No nutso stories from work, apartment, transportation, etc...The move is over and I don't have any trips planned. None...not to WDW or anywhere else. *scowl* LOL

We landed a couple hours ago. It was a great but very different type trip. I'll tell ya more about it soon. Leaving was bittersweet as that is probably it for a few years. I just think our focus will beon coming home often. I will tell you that I am more bummed about our very not so far off reality.
But that Disney magic will NOT be crushed so soon!

We landed a couple hours ago. It was a great but very different type trip. I'll tell ya more about it soon. Leaving was bittersweet as that is probably it for a few years. I just think our focus will beon coming home often. I will tell you that I am more bummed about our very not so far off reality.
But that Disney magic will NOT be crushed so soon!

I sorta slept in today-8:30. Then I had to go to a bridal shower for the fiancee of boy who was our next door neighbor and like another son to me.
After that, Rie invited 3 friends to sleep over, so I had to go to the grocery store.
To morrow , we have a celebration party to attend for my niece who graduated from nursing school!
