ok, so I just couldn't wait anymore for my alphabet stamps that are sitting at my aunt's in florida.... I was in michael's (where I so should not go anymore!) and remembered someone posting about metal stamps in the leather working section... Well, my michael's only had numbers and they were on clearance. (yes, I bought them). I then drove over to reston, they didn't have them either (they did however have aluminum eyelets and snaps which I needed for a swap I'm in). At this point, I got smart and called the leesburg store. They had alphabet metal stamps. 
Had to go pick up kate, drag her to leesburg (bribing her with mcdonald's) and grabbed 2 sets, one for me, one for the school librarian. They also had the slab 2.... yes, I bought that too. Didn't need it, but I really liked the paper.... I know, I know, I needed paper like spinning needs eyelets. maggie
ps: the alphabet metal stamps are 12.99 and the are 1/4 inch. very cute. the numbers are also 1/4 inch and they are on clearance for 4$.
