He was in front of EE shooting some interviews for a behind the scenes piece on the new attraction and we stuck around until there was a break in the action for him to sign my AK park map. He was a very nice guy and signed the map with his picture as part of his signature, earings and all....it's a cool little drawing of himself. Anyway I just had to share in my excitement...it was my first time to meet an imagineer.....let alone one who developed the AK. :wave2:

Nice! I was staying at AKL last May and he came walking down the hall. I said, "Hey, you're the Imagineer I've seen on TV!" (I blurted it out like an idiot.)
He smiled and said, "Why yes I am!"
It was about a three second interaction, but he came off as very nice, and willing to laugh.

Wow! Since I'm a huge Animal Kingdom fan and have seen the TC show on TV over and over again, I probably would have blubbered and stammered, probably trying to get up the courage to ask for his autograph and/or picture.

I saw him, too!!!!!!!! I walked by Expedition Everest and saw the camera crew and the interview going on. I recognized him as an imagineer I seen on Travel Channel but I did not know his name. I could not believe how stretched out his earlobes were!! But it was pretty cool to see someone so important to Disney!! :) :)

That's cool, we probably ran into each other out there in front of EE! :wave2:

Must have been nearby! Though I never saw Joe doing autographs, but I would have hung around if I knew he would! I was there right before the parade got to the area, so I guess around 3:45. They were testing the EE roller coaster, as I watched some trains go up into the mountain! This is going to be one cool ride when done! :teeth:
